This chance find was recommended to us by a local. What a recommendation! Classic French cuisine delivered fresh to the restaurant ( our fish was delivered by the fishmonger while we enjoyed a drink on the deck ). The atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxed. Many patrons were returning for dinner after having previously found the restaurant during their stay.... More

This restaurant was near our hotel and after checking trip advisor we decided to try it. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic. It is not cheap and if you are on a budget then this may not be the place for you but it was superb. We had the scallop starter which was very... More

This restaurant is family run and dates back to around 1997, one of the oldest French restaurants in Noumea. Good menu with classic South Western French dishes. The Cassolet de Maision was super. The Onion Soup sublime and the steak dishes were perfect. Should be ranked much higher on tripadvisor based on our experience. We would definitely visit again next... More

Went to New Caledonia for ANZAC 2014 and stayed at the Ramada Plaza. Asked the barman if there were any good local seafood restaurants and he said the little place around the corner is good. Well he was right there. We went for lunch o 25 April 2014 (ANZAC Day) after attending the dawn service. You could have been in... More

We enjoyed the food very much. The staff were friendly and very attentive. We visited earlier in the day to ensure we could find gluten free options and the staff were incredibly helpful. All in all a great experience.

Returned to this family restaurant after 13 years, it was recommended again by the locals. Fantastic foie gras but mains were average. Not sure why my wife ordered the curried prawns in a French restaurant??! My eye fillet was cooked as requested but was tough compared to what we are used to in NZ. The potato gratin was average, my... More

We went on a busy Friday evening, the staff were very charming and even when all the tables were full still managed to get back most times to pour the wine though towards the end of our meal they did apologise that we had to pour our own. This is a family run restaurant and our young waitress was really... More

Miretti Gascon is a great place, probably the best in Nouméa, to eat sea food. You'll find a great crab before end of november. Forget the soyo fish salad though.

Le Liretti Gascon was so good we ate dinner there twice, which says something as there are a considerable lot of restaurants De l' Anse Vata area , this restaurant is not on the Promenade with a water view, however is always packed . Our meals were gastronomically wonderful, escargots, frog's legs and seafood complimented with a wine from their... More

I tried this restaurant after four years of walking past it. All the staff had smiles and very pleased to greet you. We were the second lot of people to arrive at 7:30 pm and after 8:00 pm is was full. It looked as if it was full of locals and not many tourists. Meals were a little higher in... More
