Good breakfast, average dinner

We went here for breakfast first and quite enjoyed it. Large range of food, nice eggs, fresh crepes, fresh bread. I tried a few different coffees from the machine but couldn't find a decent one. We went back for dinner a couple of nights later. I enjoyed the fresh bread, creme brûlée dessert... read more

- I had two meals breakfast and lunch thinking it might get better. - Both meals were expensive and fresh produce was not used. - The hotel staff were clearly unhappy and not welcoming. This surprised me for a 5 star hotel. - All juices and milk were served at room temperature. - Tea and coffee was self service from... More

This is the "coffee shop" restaurant poolside at Le Meridien hotel open each day for breakfast and lunch and; some days for dinner. The menu is limited and unimaginative and frankly for a 5 star hotel not good enough. In fact there are more options on the room service menu but they will not serve these in the restaurant. When... Decided to try this restaurant and we made a booking for 7pm. It was empty - we were the only ones. It is a big space - used for the buffet breakfast in the morning and as a result felt cold and sterile in the evening. The meal itself was basic - I had a tagliatelle bolognaise and my partner... Hello Japanuki, Thank you again for your review. It is true that Le Sextant is livelier during buffet breakfasts and diners. Especially on thursdays, fridays and saturdays with the seafood buffet. We are happy to read that you appreciated our service and do hope you will come back soon. Best regards, More

Of all of the cultural sensitivities breakfast is perhaps the most delicate. Everyone has different needs for breakfast and from my perspective the French seem to butcher coffee. Le Sextant manages to gracefully slide through the various cultural options that Melanesians seem to do effortlessly. If you can't find a breakfast to suit than you need more therapy than the... While staying a Le Meridien we devoured a full buffet breakfast each morning. The staff were very friendly, happy and ready to help if required. Nothing was a problem and the chef was always available to create your own personalised omelette, or eggs of any type. Plenty to choose from and 3 coffee machines all set up for you to... More

Lovely dinner here - very expensive but lovely fine dining. Great dessert, excellent service, unusual flavours that worked really well. Highly recommended.

Great venue with a lovely view of the pool and ocean, average food but absolutely no service. I realize that it was a buffet but usually they come to remove the dirty dishes from the table which wasn't the case. I would however go back for dinner, hoping that the staff would be more service oriented.
