This little restaurant was hiding from me for a while. Living in Bogota you have a large selection of colonial houses in the downtown area that have been restored and look as they once did more than 400 years ago. Like the architecture, the culture has remained and there is a great vibe of cultural events, grass roots organizations and... More

Location, location location. The bar/restaurant terrace is enjoyable and the food of descent quality. Our chicken caesar salad was very good, the bife de chorizo passable.

We (group of 4) went there on a very lively Friday night and they did not take reservations. We ended up at a small table on their rooftop area. Service was extremely friendly and fast considering the amount of steps she had to take for each order. I went for the Bife al pimiento and was not disappointed. We liked... More

I ate there several times and it was superb food with a great ambiance. Prices were high for Colombia but below average for USA. Its a great place to take out a date you want to show the good life too, or a client you want to impress by not being cheap.. The service was good but not great.. Overall... More

This was my 2nd, and final, visit to Gato Negro. While the service, and waitress were above-average, I left both times with the feeling of having visited a clip-joint. (my wallet got clipped far more than it should have). The pasta - fettucine, tortellini, etc. - is tasty and well-prepared, though the portions are incredibly small given the pricing of... More

A colleague and I went here for dinner. It is in a busy neighborhood with lots of restaurants nearby, and has a nice patio area for outdoor dining. I had the mussels, which were OK but not great, and were very expensive considering they gave me less than 10. The wine list was also just so-so, and pricey. There is... More
