The imaginative preparation of dishes mixing traditional Colombian cuisine with Spanish precedents: think of the "patatas bravas" or the chorizos prepared echoing their Iberian counterparts.

We went for lunch on a Monday and this place quickly filled up with lots of government and business people. The chef spoke excellent English and walked us through the menu. Everything was excellent and the portions were quite large. This is a fairly small place and a little off the tourist track but worth seeking out.

We had a short stopover in Bogota in transit to another city and followed a friend's recommendation to eat at Donostia in La Macarena. We were very much impressed with the excellent food (the Raviolis con suero y chorizo are amazing and the carpaccio out of this world) and the great fruit juices (gotta try the jugo the feijoa or... Next door to the excellent Tabula, and if they are crowded there, come here (same owner). All sorts of interesting small plates.

Stumbled upon Donostia by accident while we were looking for another restaurant. We decided to give it a try and were blown away by how great the food was. Everything we ate was delicious but the chocolate cake dessert was to die for. The small selection of imported wines was also great. Can't recommend this place enough!

Great food, good booze-even a 2-fer special on whiskey the night a friend took me there. She had been a customer for many years, so I gladly let her choose the restaurant. But while we dined, supposedly during the door man's 5 minute break, the side view mirrors on her car parked right outside the entrance, were ripped out and... More

Our lunch at Donostia was by far our favourite meal during our trip to Colombia. We spent an hour at the Colombian History Museum next door and then enjoyed a leisurely lunch at Donostia. The tapas, wine, service, and ambiance were all top quality. We had the brie, which was delicious (topped with I think brown sugar, which I had... More

This restaurant is a must go in Bogota. If you want, you can stick with the appetizers, excellent choices for a diner. seafood, pasta, salads, meat... very good appetizers. The main dishes are also excellent though. The service is outstanding, not slow and not too fast. The price is very reasonable compared with other restaurants in Bogota. Good music and... More

Excellent food and service! Always interesting new offers for "tapas". Good wine list. For dessert "crema catalana" would be a very good choice.
