Kitschy Creepy Place with Great Food

Having read about this place when looking up places to eat in La Macarena we decided to stop by when we were were in the area. The restaurant was more bizarre and creepy then I could have ever imagined with dolls hanging from the ceiling, goofy mirrors, old cartoons playing on the TV. Given the... read more

Fun place for kids but for tourists find another place. Reminds me of the food served at Some restaurants like Chilies etc at USA. Ok for locals with kids, but for good food get another place,in Bogota.

I have never experience such a unique and fun place ever. La jugueteria reminds you of your childhood with a grown up twist, great food and exquisite drinks. Besides the area where is located is very neat!

Honoring the name of the place -toy store-, the restaurant is devoted from tops to bottom with vintage toys. It seems a bit creepy at moments to see all those plastic dolls hanging from the ceiling, but is also the Ambience of fun with the waiters uniform and all. Food is good, Colombian with a touch of modernity, and they... More

I am a play therapist by profession and toys are of great interest. Their were rare toys in every corner of the restaurant. The damaged dolls hanging from the ceiling were very telling. Our waiter was dressed in a clownish uniform and never smiled in fact he wore a frown. The menu was difficult to understand and the sad waiter... More

We are vacationing in bogota and read about la Macarena area and jugueteria and decided we had to check it out. This places decor is super creepy. For sure. But if that doesn't bother you, it is very interesting and entertaining to grab some food and a beer. What surprised us most was the food. The chicken dish we got... More

This was a visit with family and friends, my conclusion in general is they spent a fortune on decoration but have forgotten that if we choose a place to go eat, we expect a good meal. Arriving there I found a place full of toys in ceiling and everywhere, I saw something like Andrés DC. My choice was a mushrooms... More

This restaurant is so wonderful that you will forget you came for food. If you keep a child in your soul, if you vibrate with toys, this is your place. All kinds of playing things, from little soldiers to enormous wooden animals and merry-go-round horses, are carefully displayed... literally everywhere, even in the roofs. Waiters are ridiculously dressed as some... More

Since I enjoy original places, this was one of it! The restaurant is completely decorated with old dolls hanging from the ceiling, toys on cabinets, and just a very unique concept. The bathroom was very interesting, too! You can exchange old toys for gift cards to eat/drink there :-) The food was good -not exceptional. I ordered salmon as the... More

This place spent a fortune on decor and in giving a theme to itself. They just forgot to. Put their investment in hiring a good chef and staff. Service is poor and food is mediocre.
