Read reviews about the restaurant and decided to try it. Well, nicolas the chilenean chef, who studied in Peru certainly does an outstanding job. We tried the platillo de degustacion and everything was a delight. From the entree to desert. It is expensive yes, but worth it. Have been to this place twice already

I'm leaving Bogota after living here for more than 2 years and I wanted to take with me a good experience. We went to Matiz to say good bye to one of my favorites restaurant in this city. As always the dinner was magnificent! We want to say goodbye and thank you to the chef and our surprise was he... More

Giving the ranking place it has in a city with the level of good restaurant offers that Bogota has achieved over the last decade I was certainly disappointed with the food taste. Don't take me wrong, it was good but far from exceptional. The presentation of the food was great, the taste and innovation just good. Very traditional atmosphere, great... More

Everything was exceptional from the food to the cocktails and the service. I really enjoyed the lobster tail with ravioli and the mandarin martini. The angus steak was equally excellent.

My husband booked us a table at Matiz for my birthday, and it was outstanding. The atmosphere is lovely, and the service was some of the best we have experienced anywhere. The waiter recommended an excellent wine choice from their extensive menu, and the appetizer we ordered was delicious. My husband's tuna was perfectly prepared. I ordered the sea bass,... More

As would be expected for the price point, the seafood is excellent and the veal osso bucco was tender and flavorful. What was the standout for us was the quality of service and the true pleasure of the patio room with a large wall water feature - and a glass ceiling when it is raining. Staff are there when you... I was taken for my birthday to this lovely restaurant on a visit to Bogota. The dishes were very interesting and well prepared and presented, though the polenta that accompanied my veal shank was disappointing.

This restaurant exceeded my expectations. It is truly a whole gastronomic experience that everyone that loves food, good service and nice ambience should give a try. Peruvian Chef Quintano was also very kind in explaining every dish concept. I'll be back for sure.

Having doubted my visit to Bogota once I encountered the reality of city traffic, all doubt was removed once we stepped foot in this restaurant. We were seated in the patio, surrounded by beautiful decor in very romantic ambiance. We ordered three appetizers and our main course. The chef knew exactly in which order to send out the appetizers: from... More
