Nice restaurant and especially if you get a table in the patio where you enjoy the sound of the water from he fountain. Service is very good and the food is also very good. I had fish and it was fresh and very well prepared. The ambiance is also nice and a bit formal but at the right point. Prices... More

I had walked by this restaurant dozens of times, noticed it, but the exterior does not impress upon what it has to offer inside. It looks like a big house, and even when you walk in, it has a house-like atmosphere that is quite different from most other restaurants that I've been in Bogota. However, the food was absolutely amazing.... More

Matiz is one of the best restaurants in South America. I don't know why it' s not in the 50 best restaurants list of the "Te Restaurant" magazine. The "menu degustacion" is magnificent!

The place itself is not going to hit you with luxury and ambiance, but who cares! The experience is fantastic. First of all the waiters are extremely polite and you can tell they like what they are doing. The food is very nice. There menu is rich. I did not go for the tasting menu, but everything we ordered was... More

I found this place on a business trip and I didn't know what to expect, and what an spectacular surprise. I was by myself, so I had the time to enjoy every moment of my lunch. To start I ordered a Tiradito de Corvina, which had the perfect balance in order to make the corvina be the protagonist, as main... More

I came here alone and was able to make reservations the same day. This place is breathtaking from the moment you walk in. I fell in love immediately. The servers were very nice and very attentive. I chose the 6 course tasting meal and it was to die for. I would totally recommend this place and would come again.

I remember Matiz mainly for the outstanding service -- perfect timing, perfect blend of friendliness and distance, knowledgeable about all menu items including wine. We chose the 3-course tasting menu which left us replete and very satisfied. With a couple of drinks and a bottle of wines (70,000) pesos, the bill came to about 350,000 pesos -- very reasonable by... More
