Everything was exceptional from the food to the cocktails and the service. I really enjoyed the lobster tail with ravioli and the mandarin martini. The angus steak was equally excellent.

My husband booked us a table at Matiz for my birthday, and it was outstanding. The atmosphere is lovely, and the service was some of the best we have experienced anywhere. The waiter recommended an excellent wine choice from their extensive menu, and the appetizer we ordered was delicious. My husband's tuna was perfectly prepared. I ordered the sea bass,... More

As would be expected for the price point, the seafood is excellent and the veal osso bucco was tender and flavorful. What was the standout for us was the quality of service and the true pleasure of the patio room with a large wall water feature - and a glass ceiling when it is raining. Staff are there when you... I was taken for my birthday to this lovely restaurant on a visit to Bogota. The dishes were very interesting and well prepared and presented, though the polenta that accompanied my veal shank was disappointing.

This restaurant exceeded my expectations. It is truly a whole gastronomic experience that everyone that loves food, good service and nice ambience should give a try. Peruvian Chef Quintano was also very kind in explaining every dish concept. I'll be back for sure.

Having doubted my visit to Bogota once I encountered the reality of city traffic, all doubt was removed once we stepped foot in this restaurant. We were seated in the patio, surrounded by beautiful decor in very romantic ambiance. We ordered three appetizers and our main course. The chef knew exactly in which order to send out the appetizers: from... More

Matiz was the best meal I had in all of Colombia - by far. The meal starts with excellent service by attentive and knowledgable staff who understand the menu and are capable of making both food and wine suggestions. The food is creatively crafted with local ingredients, and the freshness shows. The ambiance is modern - ask for a table... More

The food is superb and on that alone it is the best in Bogota. I do not mind paying for good food because I am a foodie, but in comparison to Colombian pricing this restaurant is very expensive.

We had a wonderful dinner in Matiz. Very nice ambience in the patio next to the running water wall, good cocktails, extensive and well selected wine list, excellent service and the food, well the food is definitely the best in Bogota. Had an all seafood selection from tuna tartare over pulpo to the tuna and the salmon as main courses.... More

Many of the reviewers said this was the best in Bogota. While I can't speak to best in Bogota, it was definitely the best of all the restaurants we tried during our four night stay. We loved everything about it. The food was amazing but what really stood out was the service. The best service I think we have ever... More
