Description: At Quinta Camacho, one of the most traditional neighborhoods of Bogota, you will find DiVino Swiss House Restaurant which offers the most authentic Swiss cuisine in the city. Hosted in a beautiful house that preserves the architecture of the 1930s with an attractive decoration that allows you to be transported inside a traditional Swiss house.A well-designed menu with more than 40 specialties to choose among starters, entrees, various Swiss gastronomic specialities, homemade pastas, fresh fish, meat and veggi dishes. The fondues are offered in different forms: Not only the classic Cheese Fondue, based on selected and ripened cheeses prepared by a Swiss national, but also varieties such as fondues with mushrooms, fresh herbs or a combination with shrimp chowder. Meat fondues are prepared with finely sliced meat which is cooked in a housemade beef and wine broth. The raclette is another of the features of the house: Swiss cheese ripened by the traditional way, melted slowly under a special raclette oven to get this special creamy texture and served with small boiled potatoes and homemade pickles. In addition, guests can choose from over 12 different options of side dishes like ham, sirloin medallion, shrimps or cured and air-dried beef tenderloin, called Viande de Grisons.Desserts are a must at DiVino Swiss House! Homemade Apfelstrudel, frish out of the oven with a creamy Vanilla Ice cream, the famous Chocolate Mousse and of course, the Chocolate fondue with a selection of fruit and the ever famous marshmellows for the kids. The Tyrolean Hat, a hat shaped grill-on-the-table that allows each guest to prepare meat, poultry, fish and shell fish roasting to the point of its preference, acompanied with finely sliced fresh veggis, noodles, different dipps, homemade chips and fresh salad. The Swiss Brunch, offered only on Saturday and Sunday mornings, featuring home made Swiss specialities is a a delightful way to let Mom’s rest and spend the weekend with her family without stress.Let you tantalize by the imported chocolates, home made truffes and pralines to enjoy or give away. The selection of imported Swiss liqueurs and coffees are the delight of the frequent and occasional customers visiting “the” Swiss restaurant in the Capital.DiVino Swiss House, offers several settings and a special lounge on the 2nd. floor for private, social and business events of all kinds. Tried several things, nothing really stood out as good. This is a small two story house. Best thing would be the decor but you really do not go to restaurant for this. Rated to high for my taste.

This is what happens, when the original owners sell their business and after a while, the standard of food, service and creating a nice personal ambient gets lost. When we were there, it was still OK, but already far away from what this place was in the past. Unfortunately, a nice restaurant lost for Bogota.

After reading many reviews and the restaurants description of authentic Swiss food I was eager to try the food. I ordered the French onion soup Parisian style. The restaurant described the food as homemade, but the soup was anything but that, the onions were soggy, the cheese on top of the soup was tasteless and the broth was more of... More

So disapointing. A beautiful place so I was shocked at how things unfolded. Possibly the worst of all was that the bread for the fondue was OLD. In a Swiss specialty restaurant. Really?! This is so so inexcusable. The pot of fondue itself was very good. But it must be served with fresh bread! To have otherwise is outrageous and... More

This place is over rated the food is not that good (kind of bitter). I think Bogota has better places that offer much more

Thank you for your comments: it is a pity that you did not elaborate more on your food remarks in order for us to take good note and correct in the future. For us it is hard to imagine how a Champagne fondue can get bitter, unless it is left unattended for a while and it burns a little bit... More

The brunch in this Swiss restaurant is out of this world, everything is authentic and it was surprising to find such a quality place in Latin America. The owner is helpful and attentive and it is a place which should not be missed in Bogota!

We visited this oasis of Swiss hospitality for the Saturday brunch but ended up whiling away the hours for lunch too. The property is an elegant Swiss auberge decorated with Swiss trinkets and artifacts (i.e., cow bells). The hostess and owner is from Switzerland and charms all guests with her winning personality and knowledge of the cuisine. The brunch was... More
