We were four people and decided to share everything. We knew we were off to a great start with the homemade potato chips and 3 dipping sauces (the red pepper hummus was outstanding). We then ordered the steak (lomo) tartare (awesome - fresh with a smoked flavor), the tuna steak wrapped in guanciale with salad (my mouth is watering typing... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and I'm so glad that we did! For starters we were 4 "Gringos" with terrible spanish. So when they gave us menus written entirely in Spanish, they quickly picked up on our panicked looks and got someone who was morw than happy to help us with our menu selection. Then the general manager,... More

Thank you Julie...3 of our 5 partners are also "gringos," so we love to go out of our way to make our fellow gringos (and non-gringos too) feel welcome. Please do come back on your next visit to wonderful Bogotá. More

We wandered past this place and thought it looked good! Good is an absolute understatement! The food was delicious! We all had different burgers and we fought over whose was the best! But aside from the food the service was outstanding! So friendly and fun! The GM came over to chat with us and our waiter with limited English (and... More

in house made burgers and sausages, great ingredients. Best fried onions I ever tasted. You should really visit this place!

This place has the most *delicious* selection of Brats and a wonderfully tasty hamburger. It's a little hole in the wall but the food is absolutely fantastic. We frequently buy the raw ingredients (including the bread) and grill at home. I've lived here 10 years and this is the first time I see a variety of sausage beyond the standard... More

On a recent to Bogota, my husband was researching burger places and he found La Xarcuteria! What a treat! The food was really amazing and everything was made in house. It was definitely one of our favourite meals in Bogota, even though the place is quite small and the tables are family style (which was fine with us). You could... More

On this recent trip to Bogota, my wife and I were lucky enough to visit some of the best restaurants in town: Matiz, Bistronomy, El Bandido, Criterion, 1492, and La Xarcuteria. La Xarcuteria stood out as my favorite. Everything was clearly made in house, with love and excellent ingredients. The Poutine wasn't exactly authentic Montreal poutine but it was a... More

When I saw this place I didn't expect a lot. However, an excellent menu and a great service made me feel at home.

After passing by this place for a over a year, I finally decided it was time to try it. The Boudin blanc sausage was outstanding and the smoky aioli that came with it was a delicious compliment. The fries were the best I've had in Bogota. I'm not used to paying $15 for a wiener, fries and lemonade but I... More

Had lunch with some friends here. The decor is 'designer rustic' with jars of pickles in cubby holes in the walls and salamis hanging behind the counters. The seating was long benches alongside a single long table; the inside bench accessed by flipping up a section of the table and squeezing through. Not terribly comfortable but we weren't there for...
