Enjoyed recent group dinner at Despensa. While not the very best Peruvian fare that have tried, including in Colombia, the dinner was wonderful overall - stylish atmosphere (we sat outside), helpful and friendly service, balanced pisco sours, etc. Despensa offers a varied and interesting menu and serves relatively generous portions. We tried ceviche, tiradito, a salad, and various mains. The... More

I have to admit the pulpo, which is octopus, grilled in this case was amazing. Probably one of the best I have ever had. But that is as far as it goes. At least for me. The waiter recommended we have a yellow fin tuna bruschettas for an appetizer in addition to the octopus. It was not on the menu.... More

You can spend a week in Bogota and not cover all the stylish, new and sexy places this city has to offer. Rafael is one of those. The crowd comes to be seen as much as to see. As with many of the finer place in Bogota, the cuisine is Peruvian inspired and excellent. Funny style-mix of the baroque and... More

The occasion was a birthday celebration, we had made a reservation which had been confirmed, but when we arrived the place was full. The hostess asked us to give her "a few minutes" to set up our table, but we ended up waiting for two (yes, two) HOURS! The only apology we got was that "internet reservations are sometimes overbooked"... More

Every time I have passed this restaurant it is packed with people...and now I know why. The food was delicious and features Peruvian-inspired dishes (especially for entrees) and a european-inspired selection of main meals. We all ordered something different - the fish, chicken, the lamb. My friend who was a little less hungry ordered the pork sandwich. Everyone was really... More

I went with my wife on August 02nd. We reserved 2 days before and it was a good detail I was called back to confirm assistance. Place is well decorated. Terrace is a good place to stay, though tables are very close and furniture is not so comfortable to stay for periods longer than 2-3 hours. We were very curious... More

The food in this place is absolutely delicious. We went with a party of about 10 people, so we ordered many different dishes. The lamb burger is among the best burgers I have ever had!!! They also serve a great pisco sour. It's definitely pricey, but well worth the expenditure. A hot spot for locals!!!

We had heard several recommendations for this restaurant and finally decided to try it out as a date night. It was easy to get a reservation, but that may have been because it was mid-week. The atmosphere is wonderful: quaint, charming, and relaxed. We asked to sit by the fireplace, which was lovely. The food was excellent. We had a... More
