This is a tiny and familiar restaurant. Customers like it because they feel like at home. It is the first tapas bar in Colombia and is well known by its contemporary menu, composed by traditional Spanish tapas like tortilla, Serrano, but also by its creations. They even have their own version of patatas bravas and they are actually very famous. The Serrano salad, the white fish in basil oil with asparagus and dried tomatoes, tha lamb burgers etc. Tapas go along well with a cold beer, a glass of sangria or wine. If you want to have a unique and personalised experience come to Tapas Macarena. Feel free to order what you want, ask the waiter or the cooks. And something else, the music is really nice.....

Delicious and friendly service!

Very special place. You pay for what you get, small, delicious, unpretentious with an accommodating host. We arrived early without a reservation and he was able to fit us in, recommend some delicious tapas and wine. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and would recommend it.

Stopped in Tapas Macarena after a long day of searching out the rich street art of Bogota. The wine was great, ambiance was surreal, and the food was worth the flight from Los Angeles. This place is TINY. It's no wonder their kitchen is only good for tapas, but don't let that stop you.

We ate here on the advice of a friend we met in Bogota. She said it was one of her favourite restaurants in the Mecarena neighbourhood. We were not disappointed! The beef carpaccio and rice pilaf were wonderful. And the jug of sangria we shared was also excellent. Best of all, our waiter, Gerardo, was lovely. We felt so welcome... More

A nice bottle of wine and great tapas with attentive service. No better way to spend a leisurely lunch with friends and family.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner on a Monday night. We didn't have a reservation, and the waiter pointed us to the sister restaurant across the street - 10 minutes later he came back to get us and offered us a table that was a no show. The place is tiny - 5 tables - but the food... More

Bogota had no shortage of amazing food to try, but Tapas Macarena was both delicious and welcoming. Macarena is a small bohemian strip in Bogota chockerblock full of charming little restaurants and bars. We didn't make a reservation, and when we arrived, all the tables were full. An extremely welcoming waiter from Venezuela, didn't miss a beat and found a... More

Three friends and I, including a picky teenager, happily shared a fabulous lunch here. Every dish we shared was excellent, and the service was smooth and attentive. I wish I had discovered this place earlier during my stay in Bogota. Most of our choices were from the less expensive items on the menu (no alcohol), and the bill for 4... More
