Description: Cafe-restaurant Sol y Luna is a Dutch owned and managed bar/restaurant...
Cafe-restaurant Sol y Luna is a Dutch owned and managed bar/restaurant. Because we have 4 areas, we can cater for several occasions. When you enter the restaurant it might look small, and around dinner time fully booked, but we do have a bigger restaurant area at the back upstairs. Downstairs we have the pool area with the possibility to have some drinks or a meal on comfy couches. If you carry on from there you will find our non-smoking area. You can come in to watch some sport on the flat screen TV's, read a book from our book exchange, check the internet via our free Wi-Fi or plan what the next leg on your journey will be with help from our reference guidebook collection During big and important sport matches we will turn our upstairs area in to a real sport cinema with a beamer projecting the game on a massive screen and we get the sound through the sound system!!

Mmm Sol y Luna Goulash!

TwoScotsabroad (.com) ate here as part of our four corners tour! The food was great! I (Craig) had the goulash and it was very very tasty. Gemma had the Manos may Luya Filipnio, unfortunately she hates cilantro (corriander) but forgot to request without therefore I ended up eating half of it, again... read more

We were a small group of 6 or 7 and were shown up to the back room, which ended up being a blessing, because half way through our dinner, really loud music started blaring out from the front room (I'm not sure why restaurants think that people want to have dinner in such an environment). Quite a few of us... More

The ambiance was good, it looks like a place that can have great evenings. With 3 main areas including a poolroom. We went on friday night hoping for a nice night out, but even at 12 o'clock there still was practically nobody there. Maybe it starts even later on fridays, too bad, because the ambiance and music were great. Even... More

Went for lunch and ordered the beef shawarma, meat was tender and nice lunch ambiance. The service was acceptable and it was easy to find. Went back a different night with some friends and enjoyed the filet mignon, it was a good choice

Ordered steak, requested it rare. 1.5 hours later it arrives medium-well. Sent it back. 30 mins later later it arrives blue. By this time, my whole table had already finished their meal - and I had only just received my twice incorrect meal. Do what I did, and give up on this place. Go somewhere where they will actually get... More

Phenomenal fillet minon. Good service. Cool atmosphere. Definitely geared for tourists. Not cheap, but I felt like I got what I payed for.

Great food ruined by cold plates, a very cold restaurant and sullen service.  The food would have been really good had it not been stone cold by the time I was a third of the way through it.  A shame.  This place needs proper management and not not be left in the hands of a grumpy, inefficient "hoody" behind the... Loved this restaurant! We came here for dinner twice and lunch once. The steak is amazing and great value too! It's 54bs for the tenderloin and it's delicious. It comes with mashed potato and vegetables. I had the chicken with mushroom sauce the second day and it was equally delicious. The smoothies with milk are great and the pumpkin soup... More

My partner and I both had the steak which was amazing and a very large portion. They had a local band in for entertainment which was fun!

I had the tenderloin steak which was cooked to perfection sadly no chips but the mashed potatoes had the best consistency I have seen so far in South America
