First time eating Brazilian food

I was extremely impressed with this restaurant! For only 40Bs ($6 CAD) you can eat super well during the week for the lunch special. Comes with a meal, dessert and coffee. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me, would definitely go back.

A friend of mine recommend the place and I couldn't be more glad I did go. The food is great and delicious and the best of it it's the reasonable price.

First of all the location is wonderful, it is on one of those alternative streets in the southern district that i find much more interesting than the city center. the place has a wonderful wood decoration that makes it very warm, it was full of people and it can get pretty loud, but i like busy places. The food was... More

A great and inexpensive lunch menu is well worth the visit. Authentic Brasilian food served in a nice setting. A great place to go for lunch.

I was impressed with the quality of food that I had for lunch here. There were several excellent options and everything was well prepared. Service was slow but only slightly under the Bolivian average. However, for me the service kept this restaurant from getting a 5 star rating.

I won't join a false chorus of "the best restaurant in La Paz", because it is not, but I would agree that if you like Brazilian food, this might be the right place to go, because the food is good, the owner and cook is Brazilian, the menu is quite varied with Brazilian food from various regions, and the atmosphere... Fantastic place for genuine Brazilian cuisine. I found the service to be good as well as fast (compared to other La Paz restaurants), with excellent food at reasonable prices. The shrimp croquettes were out of this world.

Great authentic dishes. Great portions, nice dining room, service a little on the slower side, but I'm American so I'm just accustomed to faster service. I will definitely return. Simply delicious. Black beans, steak, or seafood - can't go wrong! Thanks!

This place is excellent for delicious Brazilian food in a cozy place, and to enjoy the elegance of a good restaurant. The prices are not expensive for the amount of food served in this restaurant.

Perhaps bucking the trend of more 'upscale' restaurants in the south part of La Paz, Paladar offers a cheaper lunch menu (executive lunch) that we decided to try. Even if none of us were awed by the result, it was definitely satisfying for the price. Perhaps the full menu, which has brazilian specialties as well as other 'standard' fare, could... More
