The Best Breakfast And Coffee

Not only have they got the best accommodation but the best breakfast also! Organic eggs and coffee, muesli, Greek yogurt, ham, cheese, assorted fruit, fresh bread with home made jams and freshly squeezed orange juice are on the menu. Yum!!!

Restaurant El Consulado is a very beautiful place, if you want to be surprised again on what La Paz can offer you can go there. The house is a place you could not beleive exists, El Consulado also has rooms to stay in, plus a travel agency all in the same place. It's near to La Paz downtown, and near... More

Beautiful old well preserved house in the middle of downtown. The restaurant has access to the garden with trees and a lot of green. Food is very good, different to what you will find in other restaurants, with a touch of typical but sophisticated. I recommend going to this restaurant for lunch better than night due to the nice garden.

Lodged in the next door Europa hotel I decided to enter El Consulado for a different kind of lunch. Well, as from the moment you enter you get a nice feeling. Not only the inviting ambiance, but also the quality of the meal was excellent. I opted for the executive menú, which was prepared and served with perfection. It was... More

We enjoyed a memorable meal in the glass "conservatory" of this former Panamanian consulate, on a quiet side street near the city's El Prado (main avenue). My spouse's llama filet was amazingly tender, and the grilled vegetables were superb. My vegetarian platter consisted of various small portions, lovingly prepared, including black quinoa, falafel, yuca (manioc/cassava) and cheese patties, grilled vegetables... More

W came here on the advice of Cosycoffeeshops blog, looking for the great coffee in La Paz. It did not disappoint. The atmosphere is lovely in a beautiful conservatory surrounded by a garden of fruit trees. They have heaters as well and asked us about the temp. W only had drinks here but they were exquisite! Smoothie with fresh mango... More

Somehow we went around the streets a bit before we found this place - arrived at the end of lunchtime and got a table outside no problem. Lovely flowery oasis of a garden (great escape from hubbub of La Paz). Delicious Duck Carpacio (smoked in coca leaves, served with quinoa and orange salad, marinated in sweet and sour sauce, with... We visited here for lunch and had really great sandwiches, salad, coffee and fruit juices. A bit expensive but really delicious and well presented. The man serving us was really friendly and helpful even though we had problems speaking Spanish. The garden you sit in is also really beautiful.

Eating here is so surreal. This place is peaceful and clean. Food is excellent. You wouldn't feel that you are having a lunch in the chaotic La Paz. The tables are in the garden with canopy. Ambiance and food are both great. Not too difficult to find and it is not too far away from the main road. It wasn't... More

This small restaurant is open for lunch only in an adorable restaurant located behind the Ritz Hotel. Located in the old Panamanian Consulate building, the restaurant is very clean and airy (in contrast to the rest of the city). The grounds were adorable with landscaping and even a single seat swing! The hibiscus drink was the best I've ever had... More
