Restaurant is lovely, nicely decorated and the staff are friendly and attentive. The food was presented nicely, and had been cooked excellently. Our only downside was that the flavours and ingredients seemed to be quite mismatched and bland, for example sweet and sour sauce on my chicken salad and a unfortunately tasteless llama steak.

I stayed in this hotel and for a few nights I ate here. The food was always to a high standard served by friendly staff. The menu had a good choice and I didn't feel that the ersvice was slow in comparison to other restaurants in La Paz. I recommend this restaurant. My only issue would be that it can... More

We went here for dinner and had high expectations. The food was just average and the service was extremely slow. This place is pricey but the quality of the food doesn't justify the price. I expected a much higher food and service quality, but this place turned out to be a disappointment.

we had dinner there some times and it was a great experience. The menu is pretty good and we recommend the llamas dishes and the Sauvignon blanc from campos de solana, a Bolivian winery. To finish, ask for the quinoa made desert.

Went there with my girlfriend. Interior is nice, service was a little slow but ok as they had a big group, lots of other people and as we are in South America. Food was good. I took the beef tenderloin and they prepared it as requested medium-rare. My girlfriend had the trout which was good too. A little pricey for... More

Generally we don't eat in the restaurant where we stay but on this occasion we decided to buck the trend and give it a go based on trip advisor reviews. We were not disappointed. The food was very good as was the service. No complaints whatsoever.

Food here is great and service really good. We ate here for an evening meal, three courses and wine for two adults and a four year old and walked out for $80 AUD including tip. Recommended.

We're staying in the hotel and have visited the restaurant a couple of times now. The food is really high quality and the service standard is high. Definitely recommended (try the llama fillets and chicken broth)

Tambo Colonial is in the beautiful Hotel Rosario in central La Paz. They have a complete menu, specializing in traditional Bolivian dishes. Food is well-prepared and staff are professional.

We stayed at Hotel Rosario and ate at the restaurant several times. When we first arrived to La Paz we experience altitude sickness. We were grateful for the restaurant in the hotel and the ability to have soup brought to our room. The soup was delicious. We also had a light, late-night meal of just the stuffed avocado one evening... More
