First of all, just let me say that this restaurant appears to be (based on prices, location and outside appearences) a place tourists would enjoy eating. When I was there, the restaurant was clean and attractively designed. The waiters there were polite, and there is enough space inside that it allows introverted people like myself to feel as though they... More

Called in here for lunch after visiting Valle de la Luna. We ordered our food and drinks and the I opened Trip Advisor and read the last review. Only one person in our party had ordered chicken so it was examined carefully and sent back for being undercooked. The rest of the party ate beef and pasta. A green salad... More

My wife, two young sons, and I ate at this place for several days because it was close to our hotel and seemed clean. After eating there on the third day, 3 out of 4 of us became extremely ill with diarrhea. After our 4-year-old had diarrhea 6 times in 2 hours around midnight (any parent's nightmare), we had to... We just popped in here in need of a snack. The waiters are watching the football and I think they charge extra for smiling, or waiting more than two seconds before deciding no, you're not ready to give them your order before stalking off. Now, I think there's a certain charm to grumpy old waiters in an old man's cafe,... More

Well-established cafe-restaurant in the centre of La Paz by Plaza del Estudiante, serving bog-standard fare like hamburgers, pasta, coffee and beer. I've never been greatly enamoured by either the service or food quality, but its bonuses are (a) 24-hour opening for late-night munchies plus (b) you can get a beer at all hours of the day and night, including (if... Pros: Diverse menu of options. Open many hours. Definitely has a local feel to it. I met with two Bolivian professors from the University for interviews and both said to meet at this cafe. So there definitely is a local vibe to it. Cons: You can easily find lower prices. The food is ok. The music in there is loud.... More

Both my travelling companion and I got very sick after eating the chicken at this restaurant. It required a trip to a local doctor, which was an adventure in itself. Our trip was severely disrupted due to the bad food. We thought we were being cafeful eating chicken, but that did not help. Avoid this place!

The Cafe Cuidad was very convenient to our hotel (the El Dorado) on a recent visit. We ate at Cafe Cuidad twice and had good, if not great food. And the pisco sours were really good:). All in all the steaks were the high point of our meals (they were very much like any grass fed steak). But really had... More

My husband and I were drawn into this place frankly because it didn't appear to dodgy, also they had a sign for free WiFi. Well the WiFi was terrible, there was a better signal from the library somewhere nearby. I couldn't connect as it said the signal was to low. The beer was 20bs and the pizza unavailable so we...
