Small delicious joint.

Next to a 150 sq mt Butcher shop you will find this Uruguayan grill with 6 tables, simple but fresh from the butcher to the grill and to the mouth...amazing chimichurri dressing. Choripan sandwich recommended and Chivito Sandwich recommended.

Stopped it for a bite when a rain squall caught us. Smells from the parrilla part were wonderful! Chorizo was good. Also the pollo. Didn't try the lomo. Liked the concept that you could buy your meat in the shop and have the parrilla cook it up for you.

Average restaurante. Not what it used to be. We had parrilla and grilled fish. We also asked for 2 cortados. The girl had trouble with the expresso machine.

The quality does not match the price. Besides, it takes ages to have simple things! For instance, they said that it would take time to bring the bread because they'd just open! The same hold for other things! What is the meaning of open? Open but not ready? How can one recommend this place if there are lots of other... More

We just came back from Punta to Piriapolis, having had an excellent meal at this place close to Punta Shopping. We have eaten here before several times, but today it was very special: A Dry Aged Beef from the Parilla, excellent tender and tasty beef. Jugoso just to our taste!. Fortunately we both shared it, they say its about 750... More

El novillo alegre is a small restaurant on one a round-about with one of the higest traffic in Punta del este. But the place is great because it has the best beef in Punta del Este. You can look who they made it on the barbecue. The attention is great and what you get is worth of the price. Great... More

The meat is excellent, and prices are reasonable considering they are in Punta del Este. Plus, they give you a 15% discount if you pay with Mastercard, and an additional discount if you exceed 60 USD and are a foreigner (as everywhere in Uruguay, but make sure you get to the equivalent of 60 USD and that you pay with... During our recent trip PDE we stumbled upon this place when a highly ranked Mexican restraint was closed. It's across the street and seemed like a weird mix between a butcher shop and a cafe which serves meat??? Ok we were starving and a bit meated out but the meat looked really great and their were no tourists there so... More

We waited past an hour for the appetizers (provolonne and chinchulines) and 5 minutes later the main courses arrived (food ok, no big deal) one of them cold. Asked 3 times for a coke that never arrived, received napkins after we finished the appetizers and after asking for the check we had to return it 3 times as it was... More

Love this place. From the selection of different meats and the best service. they offer all types of cuts of meat and dry aged beef. this family company know how to do business. the brochette (kebob) of chicken or meat and the provolone are the best in the country. the picania (the typical brazilian cut) is perfect. they have a...
