Lo de Tere is a great value. Probably with La Bourgogne the best in Punta del Este and surely Number 1 on the Peninsula. Wonderful cuisine, excellent service and great location on the port. Go there 10 minutes before the restaurant opens. The firts 4 table get a discount of 40 %. But even without it would be outstanding. Nautilus... More

This the second time my wife and I went to Punta. The advantage is that this time we had a good friend to take us to the best places. We arrived early on a Friday so that we could profit from the 40% discount the house offers for early birds. We started with with some house-made small breads that were... More

This is my second visit to this restaurant and it was simply superb, the service and food where amazing. We tried the octopus carpaccio along with the sizzling prawns. Very beautiful. For main we had the tenderloin steak cooked to perfect and so tender along with there famous black crab ravioli. This is a true gem if a place can't... More

Great Service, lovely room in a great location. There were four of us and everyone loved their meal. Chipirones or small squid were tender and delicious and while you can find them elsewhere in Uruguay these were the best we have had so far. Crab filled ravioli in squid ink pasta were wonderful and the salmon I had the best... More

We ask for grilled salmon with sweet sauce and green beans. The diner was wonderful and good price; we had a 15% descount for using Master card. The air conditioning was too hot!!

Pretty good god and wine. Very good service too but not worth the money at all. I had a "oho de bife" which was very nice and my wife had a very good filet. We spent one pretty good time there but I won't come back because I believe that was very expensive and we had a lot of good... More

I ate at Lo de Tere in Punta del Este, Uruguay on March 7, 2014. It was my first time there. My cruise ship, the Crown Princess, was anchored in Montevideo that day. After about a two hour drive by motor coach we arrived at Punta del Este. Since it is a resort town there are many choices as far... More

My Uruguayan wife and I have been coming here for years. We love it. It just doesn't get better than a window seat in the off season on a nice day. Food fabulous. Staff great. We live in Texas and wish we could get down there more often,

For Argentines, at the moment, anyplace outside the country is hellishly expensive! So we expect the very best if we're going to spend money eating out. And at Lo de Tere, we did!
