Good food for a price

We came here after a long search for another restautant which was closed at the end. The service was good but it has its price. I had some chicken with a creamy sauce and mushed potatoes with roquefort topping which was delicious, but also a bit heavy. My boyfriend had the ravioli which were nice... read more

Had lunch here in memory of my lovely old dog Isidore who departed two months ago - I saw the restaurant driving in and had to go. So, now that we have the soppy over, this was a really pleasant lunch with a great view of boats at anchor fighting a really stiff wind. I ate fish (of Uruguayan name)... More

Excellent dinner with a wonderful view. Located on the peninsula near the port. Had fried calamari (Rabas) and fresh local fish (Brotola) and both were delicious. The service was excellent. Though March is usually considered off season, the restaurant was packed.

It is still one of the best places in Punta. There is nothing to add about the service which is outstanding, swift, cordial and attentive. The Beef Filet was rear as I ordered it, nicely red. The Potato Gratin and the Spinach perfectly cooked. The Pollo Manhattan is always tasteful. And the Cheesecake with Berries to end the meal was... More

We arrived early at 8 PM (early for Uruguay) and there was only one other couple while next door at Lot (seafood) the place was humming already. That should have been a hint to us. Service was prompt and friendly and the decor and views good. We had two vegetable soups which were very average and full of bits of... More

Isidora is the right choice if you are looking for tasty food and a very beautiful and pleasant restaurant. The service is also very good! I asked for a delicious Risoto and my husband ordered pasta. We had both with a great rose wine. The location is great: you can enjoy your meal while watching Punta del Este port!! I... More

Punta del Este, the famous Uruguayan beach town where we used to spend holidays when we lived in Brazil, is renowed for its world class restaurants. Isidora is definitely not one of them! On the evening of 1. January we, four adults and two teenagers, chose Isidora, a place we knew from previous summers, to have dinner at walking distance... More

It used to be good but finding a worm in arugula of the "Mar & Campo Risotto, and the indifferent attitude of the waiter, was too much. Beware of food quality!

Excellent service pleasant people good view of harbour . very good food and wine especially steaks and Volcan de chocolate, as on a corner restaurant is lighter and a bit easier to park

Have been here many times over the last few summers and always enjoy the friendly service and consistently good food at Isidora. If you are here for a few days, it is well worth a visit.
