Charming hidden hotel and tea spot for a afternoon treat. Waffles and dulce de leche were amazing. Loved this hidden spot in Punta del Este.

The place is lovely. Its perfect for some teatime after the beach. You have to try the waffles. Afterwords you can have a look at the hotel, which is beautiful.

If the weather is nice you can have breakfast outside, looking at the beautiful and peaceful gardens. Quality and variety of food was very good. Good fruit, excellent fresh orange juice. Very good pastry. Staff is very friendly. Jam was not very good, but you still had the dulce de leche. I would definitely recommend having the buffet breakfast at... More

Without any doubt, one of the most beautiful and picturesque property in Punta! A landmark, L'Auberge is one of the most prestigious Hotls in Punta del Este. It really should not miss a visit!

Lauberge is, undoubtedly, the best hotel in Punta del Este, no matter whether you are young, elder, travel with kids or friends, whether you travel in summer or winter, or whether the sun is shining or it pours continuously. This time we had the time to try, once again, the waffles, which are heavenly. Together with the Auberge tea blend,... More

The "dulce de leche" waffle is a must-try! One of the best deserts i have ever eaten! The place is also really charming and the afternoon tea is a wonderful choice in fall/winter cold days. Service is ok (nothing outstanding but totally correct). But the waffle is what definately should make you go there when in Punta.

We had the pleasure of staying at L'Auberge for a few days. While there, we dined one evening when the special was moussaka. Although their version was different from what we have had in Greek restaurants, it was quite tasty. The filet lacked somewhat in beef flavor and was not as tender as I had anticipated. Service was very friendly... More

If you really like being ripped off try the L'Auberge waffle and tea room. We recently visited it with three children who love waffles as a result of trip advisor reviews. Bill for 5 waffles with toppings - 3 glasses of chocolate milk - 2 bottles of water and one coffee came to about 200 US. Chocolate milk alone was... More

Peter, Thank you for visiting L'Auberge. I am sorry that you did not like our waffles. I guess you are one of the few very rare exceptions, since most of our visitors love them. Our hotel and tea room has been open since 1948 (66 years now) serving belgian waffles and we have earned a very high reputation based on... More

Had the chocolate version of the world famous waffles. Beautiful setting and tasty food. Plan to have your waffle after 4pm.

The famous brunch with waffles, great coffee (or chocolate) and dulce de leche certainly worse the visit and so many positive reactions. But I must say that the dinner itself is a much better experience! Try the soup of the day (mine was a superb carrots soup) and if you enjoy some meat forget everything else and go for the... More
