The food was tasty the three times we ended up eating there (not many other options in La Barra to be honest) and the wait staff were really friendly and helpful. We stuck to meat and veg dishes, that was definitely their strength.

we arrived there around 9:30 pm, the restaurant was empty: we couldn't imagine that in an hour it would be complete, full. The food is very good, the brie salad is just perfect... the "ojo de bife" was very tasteful as well.

Went to Baby Gouda tonight for dinner based on hotel's recommendation. We had the pizza to share, McGouda burger and the fish of the day with roasted vegetables. The pizza was soggy, burger was average and the fish was very dry. The one outstanding thing was that they have really attractive waiters and waitresses. Great value for this area. All... More

We read the mixed reviews about Baby Gouda and it appears management has resolved prior issues at their restaurant. Being business owners ourselves we always applaud people who respond positively to customer criticism. Here is what we found: After driving down dirt roads looking for Nuna (which was still closed), than, driving to O'Farrell (also closed), we went to Baby... More

A good restaurant with a nice menu, good food, good service and a great setting. The high point are the non-alcoholic cocktails. And if you sit at the back you get a nice view of the sea

Great location in center of La Barra just up from the beach. Good food and drinks and relaxing, trendy ambience. Casual patio dining around couches and low tables and traditional indoor table dining for whatever your mood requires.

Baby Gouda is a mainstay in La Barra. This is a little city where restaurants come and go quickly. Baby Gouda has been around now for many years and that is because it is always good, the staff is pretty much unchanged. You cannot go wrong eating here,

Overpriced seems to be a common theme with reviewers, and they're right. We had two drinks and shared an appetizer and it was about $75. Punta del Este is expensive, but that took it to a whole new level. For an open-air casual place a couple blocks from the beach. It's trendy and is supposedly the place to see and... More

I have eaten in this restaurant probably about a hundred times between lunch and dinner over a span of 10 years or so BUT in the last year or so its gone from being cool and quirky with great wait staff to a rip off with microscopic portions, awful service and ever higher prices. This is not just my opinion... More

4 people, 4 sandwiches, 2 coke, one beer and one water = $100.00 before tip. Food was OK but not fabulous. Service was excellent and setting is very nice. Tables are low and very uncomfortable but likely made to make sure you finish and leave. Nothing worth going back to this place.
