Description: Hakkasan Abu Dhabi opened in June 2010, bringing Hakkasan's award-winning cuisine to the landmark Emirates Palace. Comprising a restaurant, bar and lounge as well as four private dining rooms, the 16,000 sq ft space is separated by carved wooden screens and latticing that echo the rich interiors of the London flagship restaurant. Long-time design partner Gilles & Boissier designed the space with the Hakkasan ethos of the modern ethnic, interpreting it for the United Arab Emirates. Embroidered furniture and marbled Chinese forms enrich the space, and the main dining area is crafted into a wooden cage surrounded by backlit blue glass and a stainless steel frame. Signature Hakkasan dishes like Peking Duck with Caviar and Grilled Wagyu Beef with King Soy Sauce are served alongside a set of new dishes created especially for an Emirate clientele. The restaurant is headed by chef Lee Kok Hua, who was previously at Hakkasan Hanway Place where he worked under Head Chef Tong Chee Hwee for five years.

Interesting restaurant, in an amazing location this tends to provide a big Wow factor which detracts from the food and the service both of which are good but not world class, which cannot be said for the prices, these are high, service is mediorce lots of other places to visit were the accent would be on the food at reasonable... We chose to eat at the Hakkasan Restaurant as it's been highly recommended and we were not disappointed! We started with drinks at the bar and were well entertained by the bar staff. Their olives which were served with the drinks were outstanding and are apparently specially ordered from Italy. We've never seen or tasted olives like it! The food... More

The food is great and in every Hakkasan in the world, however I didn't like the decor which was made up of small sections decided by semi-closed walls. Excellent service and a nice terrace.

It may seem expensive initially, but the set lunch was about £300 for 6 of us but that included unlimited mock tails and cocktails and the must unbelievable dim sum that you have ever tried.

We stayed at the Emirates Palace and ate at Hakkasan for my sons birthday. Food was ok, but the service was very confused. Partly my fault as I have a certain food allergy. I was not confident that the staff were knowledgable over the ingredients, so much so the chef and the waiter were giving conflicting information at the table.

A good spot for a smooth evening with friends for laughs and talks. Recommendable warm alcoholic tea at the bar! The appeal and unique food tastes give this place separates it from its competition.

We booked the private dining room for my wife's 40th birthday. There were 16 of us and the room was great. The service was not though. Thirty minutes into the lunch (1230) we were still waiting for the first drinks orders to be taken. The drinks were very slow all day and there was no proactivity in the service. We... More

The appetizers were excellent. One was a duck and mango and the other a duck roll. I highly recommend either. We had the Orange chicken and the beef cheeks as entrees. These were slightly disappointing after a great start to our meal. The orange chicken was almost all breading and the beef cheeks were very fatty. It's not a bad... More

Best Chinese in AD! The duck salad is one of the best I have ever tried. The outside terrace is amazing in the cooler weather.
