A restaurant run by a celebrity chef. Location is good since its in Katara village. The food is made to suit the western palate. Must try the fried bhindi (okra).

The ambiance was fabulous. Sea-facing. So picturesque. We went as a family . Ordered two Chicken Dum Biryanis and Garlic Coriander Naan with Murgh Makhni ..it was unimaginably delicious. Amazingly spicy as we'd requested it to be. Really amazing place.. Would love to go back anytime again. Totally recommend any of you going to Saffron Lounge.. one of the "bestest"... More

Unlike many restaurants in Doha that start out great and then fizzle into tired flatness, Saffron Lounge has never stopped impressing. It's been open for four years now and is still filled whenever you go. You are guaranteed courteous service with a smile. The menu has a good range of options, all prepared fresh and delicious. This is a must try when bored of all the 5star hotel resteruarants. The food was really tasty and so much flavour without being over powerings. It was also quite light, we did not feel stuffed. Lots of little extras, soup and welcome drink and comp tea in tea lounge. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

After a concert we went to Saffron to hace dinner...it wasn't our first time but it had been a while since our last meal here. Food was very good and service efficient. We left around 11 pm and the place was full with locals.

Had been there on valentines day. Refreshing welcome drink, lentil soup was good too. Popaddam was not roasted to the mark though, but the mango chutney was too good. The "dilli tikki chaat" in starters was finger licking good. The main course was delicious. The malai naan had a lot of malai, my 3 year old daughter thought it was... More

The title says it all. A fair few screaming children and the food wasn't up to scratch. Service was good though.

Prawn masala with lemongrass is MUST TRY... Just beware they close after lunch at 3 & re open 6.30 or 7 PM for dinner. They can have a better Mango Lacy though, it wasn't the best.
