Excellent and typical Middle Eastern food

It's the Wandering Yank again. Our adult children visited Doha for the holidays. One day we took them to the MIA (Museum of Islamic Art), and since it was a beautiful day and lunchtime, we walked to Souq Waqif. Decisions, decisions..... But I remember visiting Al Adhamiya several times before... read more

We had dinner at this restaurant which is located in Souq Waqif. Absolutely one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to in my life. It was so bad that my wife had to go to the bathroom to throw up after we left the place. Here is my review: Pros: Excellent Location Nice views on some of the... More

It was my first time for me and family to visit. Very nice food. Friendly staff. Actually I came to try the Grilled fish but didn't know it take approximately 1 hour to cook, so we didn't order it. The other food were fantastic too. All of the family are happy. The staff suggested me to make a phone call... More

A return trip to Al Adhamiyah in Souq Waqif with two work friends visiting for the first time. And another lovely meal! Being busy, there were no outside tables (which is a big bit of the experience) but the staff cleared their admin table to accommodate us rather than lose our custom. Good start! We had a great mixture of... More

Welcoming, friendly staff, authentic Iraqi food, generous portions, and delicious freshly baked bread They served complementary tea and traditional desert at the end :) Sitting outside in the souq is also great when the weather is nice

We stayed in Doha for one week and used this restaurant twice.I had a starter on the first visit but learned you don't need one as mains a plentiful and you get complimentary bread before main and also when your main comes. The lamb and chicken kebab dishes were superb and when you ask for the bill you then get a... Very good food coupled with helpful friendly staff made for a pleasant evening. From the starters to the mains the food was abundant and tasty. So much food in fact, some of it came home in a doggy bag! The cream of chicken soup was excellent and my daughter loved her lentil soup. The others had 'mixed appetizer' The mixed... More

It is a typical Arab restaurant. The service is very good, Mobi was the waiter. We began with Hommus Tarini with a warm and delicious Arab bread. The lamb Kebab Iraqi was tasteful with fried potatoes and Indian rice. The price was fair, around U$25. It is a place I would return.

The location is in souq waqf, a popular destination. The restaurant need improvement in its seating. The same applies to service. he food quality is below average. Compared to Al Samadi Dubai, there is a big difference. The Fish did not taste fresh and was not cooked well. The Meze and salads ware not tasty either.

We had dinner in this restaurant few nights ago due to we wanted something different from usual Arabic food. The portion are big, very delicious and good service from the staff. We chose to sit on the upper floor with air-condition as the weather still hot on the alfresco. The lamb was superb, tender and juicy. Highly recommende if you... More
