Throwback

After shopping errands the family decided on a whim to have lunch at Thai Snacks in the way home. The joint is scruffy and the service forgetful and forgettable. But the food is genuine and generous so in good company it is to be recommended. For a solo diner I would take my business elsewhere. On... read more

Have been frequenting Thai Snack over the years in Doha and happy to say that this is THE place if you're looking for real Thai street-food, well almost. The restaurant has a mix of indoor and outdoor seating and weather permitting, we prefer outdoors. Many items on the menu and you just show the picture or the dish no. in... More

The Wandering Yank here again. I guess my review's title pretty much says it all. I've been to most of the Thai restaurants in Doha (still haven't tried Baan Thai - next!), and this is always a good lunch choice. The typical endless menu of choices with photos will greet you, so you should be able to find something to... More

A great little place with an authentic Thai feel. The place may seem shabby from outside but it is NOT and it is always busy! The food was great, I really enjoyed the Thai green curry. It really made me feel like I was back in some small Thai restaurant in Chiang Mai....nothing fancy just great food and great value for... More

My friend brought me to this restaurant this weekend. Has a backyard feel to it. Ordered pad Thai and it's truly one of the best I've tasted outside of Thailand. Portion is generous and price very affordable. Food was cooked fast and service was simple and unpretentious. Happy to have eaten here.

The place is not pretty or fancy but the food is great! Service could and should improve but the food is so tasty that I forgot the slow and distracted service.

I had dinner one evening at Thai Snacks...only the food can draw you back to Thai Snacks:) The decor is outdated and it could do with a spruce up. As soon as we sat down, we started wiping down our table, because the surface was so sticky, we gave up when we realised it was the finish of the surface.... More

But, service is poor and you have to keep on waving the hands to call waiter as they were busy in watching TV!!! Anyways, if you are looking for good... More

The shop is cool and friendly staff and cozy atmosphere with a nice food flavors and selections. You should not expect any fine dining or anything close to that, it is very casual and close to a market shop than a restaurant so if you are a picky person this wouldn't be a place to visit. Note that they close... More
