Armenian food at its best

This place offers a wide variety of traditional Armenian food that you will simply get lost.....go there on an empty stomach coz there is so much to try and make sure to taste their trademark the maamoul with cheese filling!!! one of my favourite places to eat.

Traditional Armenian food was pretty good but pricey - about $135 for four people and one bottle of wine. There is a non-smoking section!!!!

A nice place with decent Armenian fare. The service is excellent and the atmosphere lively. After dinner take a stroll to Mar Mikhael and it's many bars for a drink while you digest.

I have never had Armenian food until this dinner at Mayrig on my last night in Beirut. I have dined at many restaurants all over the world and this is my best dinner ever. The food kept coming and all very tasty. I normally do not eat desert but at Mayrig I did. The best! If you are visiting Beirut... More

Don't look any further you found it. Nice interior, quite busy but enough staff who are all multilingual, attentive and knowledgeable to explain what the dishes are. The price - quality balance is excellent and last but not least the dishes are varied and well prepared. What's there not to love ? Book your table because it can get quite... More

What is special about this restaurant is both the food and atmosphere. The restaurant is beautiful especially indoor. As for the food it is the best Armenian food U can get in town. Especially the Itch, Kafta with cherries, Manti, olive salad, and the assorted platter that offers potato, lentil and meat kibbeh.

The design of the restaurant is beautiful. We ordered a few appetizers such as hummus with meat and lentil kebba (which was so yummy). Our main dish was the kebab with cherry sauce (Armenian specialty). Our dessert was "Qashtalia" which is a typical Mediterranean dessert consisting of cream with nuts and syrup on the top. It's a bit pricey compared... More
