Kampai is one of my favorite japenese restaurants in beirut. The noodles and rice dishes are delicious. Sushi is tasty and fresh.

Beirut has a serious lack of authentic Japanese food. Kampai comes closest in its selection and taste. The variety of fish is better than most sushi restaurants in this city, and they have a selection of Japanese cuisine dishes. yes, it's a bit on the pricey side but there's good value in the dishes. It's a bit noisy, probably because... More

Great sushi, kind service, good wines, beautiful and relaxing place in the center of Beirut. What do you want more? If you love japanese food and you are looking for a calm, pleasant and charming place, this is the right restaurant. You will enjoy Zaituna bay view and the availability of all the staff. We have been there two times... More

I liked the variety of the food and the quality. Nice setup. Business casual ambiance. I didn't like to attitude of some waiters. Clichet of the neighborhoods.

An upscale place, with a bit of a noise issue, and staff that skipped out on their English lessons. On the plus side - both classic sushi, as well as locally inspired combinations that are very imaginative. I will be going back for more - and a chance to sit in the outdoor area.

Great food of high quality one of the best sushi in Beirut, but the design inside seems to amplify the noise inside the restaurant. Not an ideal place for a relaxing quite dinner when full.

We were taken here by friends and business associated two weeks ago and I have to say it was quite superb. The quality and quantity of the Sushi and Sashimi is superb with great service. This is a very groovy establishment with a real buzz about it. Book early as tables are at a premium!

From observation; I believe that most Lebanese will eat any Sushi as long as the restaurant is "trendy"; I don't think they're very picky sushi eaters. I am! While kampai is not my first choice for sushi in Beirut, it is definitely a good second. While the sushi is overall ok, and more importantly clean...the menu lacks a little bit... More
