i never expected to eat so well in Beirut. Oca Matta made our stay in lebanon all the more meaningful. We started with a taste parmigiana di melanzana garnished with the sweetest tomato sauce and delicate taste of basil leaves and then moved on the salmon tartare ~delicate and fresh ~to the grilled calamari which were delicious. En suite we... More

great food, friendly atmosphere - even if it's get a bit loud late at night, it's still bearable when you have your share of alcohol ! I happened to stumble on two of the best doctors in town who are also the owners...so yes, I'd say it was the best remedy I've had lately.

Party of 12, very nice place and staff though the service is slow. The food was not great but the wines are good and cheap. We had fun but were a bit disappointed with the quality of the food. All in all it was a fun night and good value for money.

A nice "Italian" restaurant with tasty food but be prepared to pay a lot since they do not serve pizza or pasta. Fortunately for us at the time of our visit they had discounted prices for the drinks.

Went to l'oca matta for a dinner as the place was recommended by a friend in Beirut. We sat outside in a nice garden, the owner is present with great attention to every detail and very nice person. Excellent Italian food and wine! More choice for meals than desserts. But all in all a very pleasant evening. Definitely an address... More

Last night felt like a punishment at L'Oca Matta. First of all, the menu choices were extremely limited and inflexible; of the 5 or so main courses, two were unavailable for the night which made the menu even more irrelevant. The service was more than mediocre, we had to ask at least three times to get our beverages, bread or... More

Was invited to the L'Oca Matta for dinner on a visit to Lebanon, the restaurant was inviting and very charming. After being seated, I was made aware of the painted murals and paintings that were done by none other than the restaurant owner, the tables were immaculate with exquisite attention to detail. But the real surprise was the food, the... More

The finest Italian restaurant in town. Everything from the cozy and original decor, to the delicious food and excellent service is on point. The pappardelle and truffle risotto are a must try. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

The restaurant is a beautiful old renovated house with a cosy feeling inside. The decoration is very nice, it is colorful and original. The food is good especially the sea bass platter and the meat filet, but I would not advise the "octopus salad" (it was chosen by 3 of our friends and they all disliked it), but it is... More
