I love the mix of armenian and lebanese which adds the spiciness lebanese food lacks. I also like the cozy atmosphere. I recommend for smaller group

Unfortunately, a unique restaurant like Mayas which used to be known for good food is now known for being a restaurant in breach of Law 174 (Prohibiting indoor smoking). Mayas created it's own jurisprudence by dividing it's already tiny restaurant into a non smoking Ground floor and a smoking mezzanine floor both connected with the same air staircase etc. It... I love food ... And I love Lebanese food so when going to Mayas for an Armenian version I didn't know what to expect but the food is amazing!! You have to have the Following when you go: Armenian salad, the eggplant Koussa with yogurt and they have this cheese Mille fielle thing that's amazing like melt in your mouth... More

We visited this place last month and it was really nice and delicious. We loved the fattoush, the potato and cherry kafta everything was well presented. The music was extraordinary played by a young guitarist playing romantic songs. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone interested to taste the orientale food with a twist .

Armenian delicacies to die for... the Soujouk and Chesse pastry was excellent and the Manti superb... The ambience is super especially when friends are around ...there used to be an old guitarist who was also a good addition to sing those old armenian and lebanese classics...but didnt see him the last time we went there..... Lovely restaurant indeed

Very well cooked food and a variety of choices, fast service... However, the place is cramped and would be better to go in winter rather than summer. Music is somewhat weird being so "non-local".

Al Mayass is one of Beirut's best kept secrets! The food is fantastic and the ambience is very comfortable and homey. You must try the Manti and the Kabab be karaz (kabab with cherries) , but I do have to admit that everything they serve is out of this world. It is one of those rare restaurants that has kept... For two decades, Al Mayass was the best Armenian / Aleppine restaurant in Beirut. It was cozy, cheap, friendly, and served delicious specialties. Last night we went there for dinner, after a long absence. This is what we got 1) Staff When I arrived to the place to join my friends, the manager refused to let me in as I... More
