Been there with a friend. The food is good but not fantastic. Service is ok, although waiters are totally ignorant when it comes to wine. They brought me an almost hot bottle. We had to wait for them to cool it down. Could do better for 75$ per person

This review is about Gemmayze Branch. It's a real French bistro in Lebanon. The decor, the table mats, the menu even the waiters all provide the cosy ambiance you find in such places in Paris. For our dinner we ordered the famous steak and fritters and the chicken breast cut in pieces served with tagliatelle. I confirm the steak is... More

We liked the ambience and setting of this restaurant. The meat quality is good, but the sauces needs improvment. Ex, peper sauce is not good, & their speciality couqley sauce is nothing special. Wine selection is excellent with various price range.

I can confirm that the chef is really putting time and knowledge in preparing them because the dishes we had were really very nicely done and I enjoyed... More

We went to Couqley following the recommendation of a local at another pub. It was a short walk down gemmayze street down the alleyway. Couqley was cosy and crowded. The truffle brie burger was amazing and the selection of wine was great.

I took the signature dish of the restaurant, meat was tender and nicely cooked, the wine was good. The ambiance is fine. Everything was good! I will surely re-visit this resto once am in beirut or dbayeh.

Worst service you've ever had. The steak was dry , tasteless and almost cold. The ambiance was so loud and the tables were not spaced enough. VERY DISAPPOINTED
