This Restaurant is my favourite place to eat anywhere in the world. I had not been for 8 years so whilst excited to be going back I was also a bit apprehensive that it would not live up to my memory of great food. I need not have been disappointed. The food is outstanding. The staff cannot do enough for... More

Went back after a break of 2 years and all aspects of the restaurant are still first class. Great ambiance both inside & in the water feature garden. We dined outside and it was extremely relaxing. My European visitors could not get over how such an oasis could exist in the middle of the city. Food was just as we... More

Not surprisingly this restaurant is owned by the same people who do Lilou and a few other classy places round town. Its a beautiful building and very authentic asian style , a bit Thai a bit Balinese . The menu has a cross section of Asian dishes , with the best dishes picked out of a selection of countries. The... More

The menu is a melange of several Asian cuisines. Too often when that happens, nothing is done particularly well. Monsoon is the exception. The room is beautiful. Service is very attentive without being intrusive. Dishes are presented most beautifully. Prices are a tad high but you do get good value -- good food, well prepared, and nicely presented.

Visited this restaurant after 5 years and still impressed with the excellent setting. The food is expensive but delicious. Although restaurant was empty when we arrived ( was later very busy towards late evening ), the waiter tried to discourage us from sitting outside ( indicated that it will be very cold and people smoke - both issues did not... Classy setting with plants and water puddle. good variety of food and friendly service. Large enough for an office party. cosy enough for a tête-à-tête evening.

This is the place we always go for special occasions. The food is consistently superior, the staff is large, attentive, skilled, and friendly. You can get everything Asian at Monsoon, as well as some decent European and American food as well (for not so adventurous eaters). Alcohol is available. No one will leave Monsoon disappointed!

One of the better restaurants to serve Thai food in Bahrain. The ambiance is good but you need reservation, as it gets very busy in the weekends. Presentation of food is very good. It is expensive , but if you like Thai food, there are not many choices.

Mix appetizer is not good as before to much flour in the batter. The staff are not attentive. I like the ambiance though. however the sunken water pool around the perimeter is a safety hazard. While we were dining, one guest fell in to the pool..

3 of us went in for a quick lunch, we loved the ambiance, the place was empty the most of time we were there, the bill came as 25BD, with our simply order, it's a bit high. The food was very mediocre, not freshly made... will not go back.
