Price was decent and the Tom Yum Goong was great. But the duck breast was very dry and a little tough. I had the feeling that the restaurant wasn't really all that nice, but had to act like a five star facility since it was in the Gulf Hotel. I would eat here again, but would stick to the shrimp... The food options were very good (fresh fish to choose from), and the decor was nice as well (an aquarium and lots of windows). The ostrich was quite good, and the service excellent as well.

Food was nearly cold by the time it was served, a great setting and fairly good service but let down by what was on the plate. I have eaten here before and it was a lot better than this. Perhaps the cook was having a bad day !!

Probably the best thai in `bahrain. Great food specially the papaya salad and satay. the green curry and the pork belly in green pepper is super. The service is always great but the restaurant is always quiet... could do with some live entertainment in form of a thai musician.

Another good retaurant in the Gulf Hotel. The decor is beautiful and the staff ar also beautifully turned out. The food is excellent though we always ask for extra spicy. The Tom Yam is really tasty though even when we ask for extra spicey its not really hot enough for us but tasty The menu has all the usual dishes... More

Had a green curry chicken and eggplant - Quite good and filling. Also had the satay as an appetizer and washed everything down with a Singha. Good food, but not quite as tasty as the real thing.

A bit pricey but the service and food was great! The pad thai was really solid. It was really quite and not at all lively.

Acceptable value for money if you are a Gulf Prestige Card holder, I wouldn't recommend it otherwise. If you are like me, you like authentic Thai food (which means hot and spicy). Thai food at Royal Thai is modified to suit the Arab palate. When you complain that the food is not spicy, the Thai waitress just apologizes and says... More

Exterior gives the impression there may be some va va voom, interior is high ceilinged, empty, a little bland. Tom yam was great (isn't it always?) seafood "basket" for 2 was prima facie good value but chargrilled seafood turned out to be mushy and water logged for the most part. How anyone can serve shrimps this bad in this part... More
