This is a traditional Saudi Arabian restaurant where EVERYTHING is traditional, from the food, decor (think 1950's Riyadh) & dinning style (on the floor). It does not seem to have a website, which is why I think I haven't seen any foreigners there. This is a hidden gem I believe particularly western visitors would enjoy. Truelly authentic.

Great Riyadh experience (as close as you can get to "Saudi" cuisine)

Make sure you have a reservation for a family room. The private family rooms are a fun experience, although sitting on the floor can get tedious if you have back problems, etc. The food is good, but not great. The overall value is very good. Service is friendly and helpful. This is the place... read more

This place takes you back to the 20's and 30's. Authentic settings, atmosphere, and, food. Have to try the mixed platter "mushakal". A combination of most famous and traditional plates from Najd. They have 2, 3, and 4 person versions of this tasty and wonderful delicacy. Beware not to drive and/or operate heavy machines after this meal as it is... More

Food is extremely good, even if home made is more delicious. They seem not to have kabsa with camel, since I never found it available. Staff is nice and polite, but there is no smile. Anyway I am a usual guest and it really worths to go!

Wonderful venue for authentic and traditional food of the Najd, the central region of The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Najd Sitting on the floor in a building constructed of mud bricks, it feels like going back in time. A prefect thing to do after a visit to Masmak Fort and/or the National Museum. Experience the rich food culture of... More

The look from outside gives you sense of the old Riyadh, and when you go inside the settings will give you the same sense. The food also is great and new for those who do not know the traditional dishes of old Najd. Highly recommended

Very tasy and authentic food at a good price! Full of locals. You sit on the floor. The soup is excellent!

Loved eating here! This is a traditional Saudi style restaurant, where you sit on the floor with rugs and pillows. Picture menu helped us make our choices. Food was quite good, overall.

I have been hearing about the Najd restaurant since I came to Saudi Arabia one year ago and finally last night I had the opportunity to go there with a group of 11 other friends. I had been told to expect to be eating my food, while sitting on the floor with all of the food laid out in the... More
