We picked this restaurant while visiting the beautiful Christian town of Madaba. It is located right across the street from St. George Church, a very central location. The restaurant has two floors, the first floor and the top floor. Both offer a nice view of the center. The food was excellent. We had the lamb kebab, shanklish, hummus and fish.... More

We LOVED our dinner for two in this friendly spot. The owners are so kind and insist on freshness. One of the best roquette salads I have tasted, and a big, pretty portion. Chicken mushroom garlic main course was delic though rich. Great veg come with it. Young , handsome servers are great. Herb tea was complimentary. This was our... More

We were recommended by the front desk clerk of the Madaba Hotel and were delighted with our dinner. We ordered off the menu, a Bedoin dish "Sha gee sa" which was lamb OR chicken with onions and spices, like cardomon. The Caesar salad was HUGE, soup was good, local wine was fine, desert was a baklava-like treat. Total bill was... More

This restaurant is conveniently located opposite the St. George church. The fattoush was just okay, and the "madaba chicken" was a strangely Western chicken in mushroom sauce. Chicken was overcooked. The chicken wings were pretty good. I would try someplace else next time.

The restaurant is on the second floor but is still easy to find. Dine by window is lovely. Service is good. I enjoy appetizer (rosemary mushroom) and main course (lamb cutlet). Locals also patronize this restaurant.

The food is okay. It's a bit sad that the bread is not warm. The Grilled Halloumi is super salty. The Lemmon and Mint juice is very good. The staff is very friendly and sweet. They also offered me a cup of tea. The prices already include the 26% tax, that usually are not included in the other Jordanian restaurants... More

We came here encouraged by a local recommendation from a local Jordanian. At almost 10pm where streets are darkened and Madabas night owls are out, opposite a famous illuminated church sits Bawabit Madaba. We were greeted by Hala, a very cheerful and welcoming co-owner of this establishment. We sat down and ordered Mutabal (2.75JOD), Tabuleh (3.25JOD), Shish Tawook (7.5JOD) and... More

We went to this restaurant as recommended by our tour manager. The food was delicious, the service was great - but the highlight for me was finishing the meal with an excellent cappuccino!
