Solid for over 10 years!

Having returned to Amman for the first time I'm 7 years, I was curious to know if the Romero was still up there with the best Italian restaurants in the region. And I would say it is. Firstly, the atmosphere is just so classy: you feel like I'm an old godfather movie. And I like traditional Italian... read more

We were looking to have nice Italian food at Romero to celebrate my wife's Birthday as she loved Pastas. The food was disappointing except for one dish. My wife asked to have a different dish as the served one was not to her taste, I felt sorry for her.

Just over the road from the Intercontinental Jordan lies the little gem that is Romero. We were booked in by the marvellous Mr Raafat, the concierge at the Intercon, for our Wedding Anniversary (34th). What a great move. The music is just right and the charming chap in the very fine waist coat was a really perfect host. The food... More

Me and my fiance picked Romero for our engagement dinner in November 2014, we were 15 people and picked a set menu, they also allowed us to bring a cake (did not charge extra for this) as well as some sugar cookie giveaways. Staff were very friendly and helpful, they printed out the menu for our guests with our names... More

The food was good, the atmosphere is cozy, but for the dish portion I think that prizes is very high. The service is not bad but for such a fine restaurant it should be way much better, but we enjoyed the evening any way.

Never fails to impress. We've been coming to this restaurant for years, and we even had a wonderful engagement dinner with our friends a few years back. The food never disappoints and the atmosphere is absolutely charming!

Romero is our first choice whenever we have a special occasion either with family or friends, well we did go last night,as always food and service were superb however we were shocked from the bill which was way more than usual,we're regular customers and ordered same kinds we usually do, well waiter told us that they have the fancy angus... The restaurant interior is very nice...formal and well appointed. However, the food leaves much to be desired for the price tag. Both times I've been here the food (chicken parm and pasta dish) has been bland and unoriginal. Best part of the meal was the bread basket. Overall just very expensive. Won't get out the door without dropping at least... More

I was very surprised with Romero.Even though is a bit pricey but it was worth it. We've been here with my wife a couple of times during a long business stay in Amman. All the food was good but the highlight goes to the truffle raviolis, they are to die for and my main reason to return to the restaurant... More

Fairly standard Italian food. The best is the pasta, and unless you're a confirmed carnivore you may find the veggie options are a good choice: I had the gnocchi, with a lovely fresh tomato sauce. We nearly didn't have desserts, but these are great - loads of effort goes into them.
