It has been my privilege to take cooking classes all over the world in connection with my travels so when I noticed this on tripadvisor, I wanted to include the experience during my time in Amman. The pre-reservation correspondence with Maria was delightful and I had a very good feeling about the experience before we even got there. This is... More

Beautiful House, beautiful view, delicious food and overall great experience. The hostess was friendly and inclusive, and everyone had a good time. Can bring your own wine for a minimal corking fee. Not to be missed!

The owner is personable and the place is beautiful. The food is good and the experience is several hours of fun. Much better done with a group of friends (6+); we did it with about 25 and it worked fairly well. You don't actually do THAT much cooking (more just chopping veggies and such) but it's delightful and a unique... More

An amazing experience. The owner will teach you to cook "Grandma's food". She is nice and very energetic, and very quickly we felt at home. Me and my wife had a wonderful time cooking and learning about their cuisine, and the final result was an incredible meal. Just one warning: Bait Sitti, in arab, means "my grandmother's house", so getting... More

I was living in Amman when I did this. I had visitors and a friend recommended Beit Sitti. We all went along, and it was definitely one of the take-away highlights for my visitor, and even for me during my three months as a resident of amman. A great house in Weibdeh, lovely atmosphere, and delicious food! Best of all,... More

Beit Sitti is one of the most unique cultural experiences available to travelers in Amman. Maria was an incredibly welcoming, fun and knowledgable host, teaching us many things about how Palestinian food is made and why certain spices are used. The experience overall is absolutely wonderful, then you add in the wonderful hosts, the stunning views of the hills below... More

Maria effortlessly makes everyone feel welcome at this really fun cooking course. It is set in her grandmother's house on the veranda with views stretching out over Amman. More to the point you learn to make some delicious food and sit down with everyone and enjoy the meal and atmosphere. Thoroughly worthwhile and a great way to become more familiar... More
