You might find a thousand Kunafah shops in Amman, but these people are the experts. Especially the one in downtown next to Arab Bank (Very Close to Hashim's Restaurant) as you will find a cue of at least 20 customers waiting ahead of you.. well, it worth waiting; as you will have the chance to try a freshly made plate... Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant kana, hot savoury, eat it anywhere...One branch we met a couple of egyptians so they added extra pistachios since we come from the mother land, i didn't know how but it was even better...The lucky coincidence was the fact that our hotel was one minute away (walking distance).

This is a fantastic shop for those wanting to try local sweets. Hot and fresh, the staff are more than willing to explain what each dish is. Huge portions, excellent value

If it's sweets and crispy pastries you're looking for then Habibas is the place for you. There are four locations in and around town so make sure you find one close to you and give this fantastic warm gooey sweet cheese topped with soft or crispy pastry, drizzled with syrup. Also ask for tast of the Kalaj. Habibas also seeks... More

The thing you need to remember about planning your trip to Jordan is looping in the locals, be it the owner of your accommodation, your guide, or your local driver. Both, the hotel owner as well as as driver in Amman convinced us that leaving Amman without trying out the local delicacy Knafeh would be a bad idea. So after... More

This is the place to get your Kunafa from, in addition to most other Arabic sweets. I wouldn't consider other places for sweets.

There are two locations with the same name in downtown Amman. Go to the little shack with the long line. That's the right one. It is ridiculously good. Not to be missed. Personally, I found the 'crunchy' version tastier, but there is also a 'soft' version. You can actually get a plate with half of each.

Holy Crap. This was the first place I had ever had Kanafeh and lemme tell you, it's the best stuff ever. It's like fried-in-sugar dough and cheese. And then covered in syrup. If you go to Amman and don't go here to try Kanafeh, you are missing out on an integral part of the experience in Jordan.
