amazing history behind this small Falafel shop, it is really tasty and in a great location, however, I did have my doubts about the hygiene of the workers and the place...needs some work!

My son and I ate here after a 14 hr travel day. We showed up exhausted, starving and a bit disorientated but left full, happy and feeling like we had found a home away from home. It's no nonsense vegetarian fare with a Avery limited menu but everything is so fresh and delicious. Spicy fol, silky hummus, falafel, sweet, mint... More

Hashem has amazing food for great prices. Their hummus, falafels, bread and tea are incredible and hard to get better than here. The staff are very friendly and there's always room for one more group of friends. The perfect start of a day in downtown Amman!

Hope this message reaches the owners. I have been here several times, and is on my short list of not to miss places in Amman. Anyone else noticed how the quality seems to have slipped. Still good value, still good street vibe (nicely tiled now), but bread not made on-site (so served cold and a bit dry and bigger than... More

You will definitely taste the best humus and falafel and other similar dishes like mutabal which is aubergine based. Dont expect fine dining, it's a typical street food place with plastic chairs and tables over looking the street in downtown old Amman. Nearby you can ask for Habiba kunafeh which is a sweet cheese based pastry that is eaten in... More

Hashem restaurant was amazing, don't be put off by the fact it's mostly just some tables set up in an alley, it was delicious. The service was great, despite very little English spoken by the workers. They were happy to help and brought us just the right amount of food for four and it only cost us 12JD between four.... More

Fantastic Cheap Food - I paid the equivalent of about $3 for more (unbelievably delicious) falafel and houmous than I could possibly have eaten, along with some delicious tea. Very friendly, helpful service. Not to be missed.
