located in downtown Amman or what they call (Al-Balad) an old authentic place, don't get fooled by the first impression the restaurant looks really old and seating's are between cooking stations which to me was amazing seeing them cooking food right in-front of you once you sit you wouldn't be able to finish your sentence before you see the food... this place was recommended to us by multiple people and is apparently one of the oldest restaurants in amman. it has become quite touristy so is always very busy but is also still frequented by locals so is a very traditional, cultural and exciting experience. it looks a little dodgy as the setting is very basic with plastic chairs and... Excellent and simple restaurant in Amman, no menu but a lot of different dishes to share with friends... falafel, hummus... the service is quick and food is fresh... Perfect place for vegetarian !!! excellent budget place for dinner... We enjoyed it during Ramadan time and it was an amazing experience to wait with locals until dawn to eat!!! Nice time!

This is a very famous traditional food restaurant in downtown Amman. The Jordanian Monarch and his family frequent this place; the location is a dive but the food is great. If you don't know what to order, get a small plate from everything they offer. You can't go wrong. Take a stroll around the downtown area after the meal and... More

It may have become a popular spot for tourists, but Hashem is still as Jordan as it'll get in terms of food. It is busy, it is tasty and it is cheap. There is little more I need to say about it.

There are no bells and whistles at Hashem's, with the food being simple, traditional, and yet absolutely delicious. They service was quick, with the food looking and feeling very fresh. The food is prepared in a kitchen that looks out onto the alley where the tables are set. Even though some reviews felt that there was a hygiene problem, I... More

May be good taste but eating there could be an adventure. This place became famous because several years ago, it used to be one of rare places that offered service.
