This place is a very old and famous restaurant. Most people go not for the taste anymore but more of a famous spot. The King and Queen of Jordan go there sometimes!

Lonely Planet recommends this little restaurant next to the Amman souk, and I'm so glad they did. You'd miss it otherwise, and that would be a shame! Come in, sit down, and enjoy the whirlwind of activity that surrounds you. This place is open air with some indoor and is very at home next to the souk. In other words,... More

Experience eating like the locals in this simple and amazingly good value-for-money outdoor restaurant. There's only one menu, houmous, baba ganoush, falafel, salad and delicious flatbread. For the three of us with drinks the bill came to just 7 dinars!

Inexpensive, noisy, great fun, terrific food, our introduction to Jordan after an hour in the country and the perfect start. W hat else can I say, this is a good value place for a local meal.

I cannot really add much to what has already been said. It is always incredibly busy and predominantly frequented by locals. No menu but it is really cheap and cheerful.

After reading reviews and recommendation from friends,we decided to come here on our last day for lunch! We had to wait for a table as was very busy, being a sunday! They served the falafels, bread and hummus all separately not as a sandwich and also accompanied by a plate of salad and Foul-red beans in tomato sauce. The falafels were tasty... More

It was the best falafel I ever had! Loved everything there. Wasn't too sure how to eat it all, so just had to wait for our neighbours to start :) Very cheap too!

Everybody told us we had to go here for the best cheap food in Amman. To be quite honest I can't see what all the fuss is about. Maybe they have relaxed and are living off their reputation but we had better food in Jordan at roadside stalls and several other cheap restaurants. Our food was not particularly tasty and... More
