Description: Café Noir is a long-established bistro in the heart of Tel Aviv's city, strategically placed between the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and Rothschild Boulevard. It's considered aninstitution by Tel Avivians, and our regular customers are business and media people, artists and in fact anyone who appreciates a terrific atmosphere and good food.Cafe Noir extends over two levels, offering a choiceof intimate sitting areas and spacious seating that's equally suitable for businessmeetings or family celebration. The décor comprises dark wood furniture in classicstyle, a spacious and inviting bar, with oil paintings on the walls and art objects arranged on surrounding shelves. Soft lighting effects create the perfect dining atmosphere. On fine days we have outside seating so guests can watch the bustling life on the streets of Tel - Aviv.Café Noir is busy throughout the day and until the small hours – some enjoying a hearty breakfast, others dropping in for a business meeting, and later evening drinks at thebar. We offer a rich menu – such as our lunchtime starter of liver pate with pear confit, sirloin Carpaccio, and chilli shrimps. For main courses, it's a tough decision choosing between our renowned Café Noir schnitzels - chicken breast, pork, or milk-fed veal - and the meat dishes, lamb kebabs, hamburgers, entrecote. Fish, salads and seafood are always reliable options.

The food was really wonderful....French bistro with a Meditteranean twist. Indoor and outdoor seating, nice presentation, close to our hotel.

have heard about the cafe noir brunch for a while. not sure why the hype. It was fine - no complaints about the quality of the food or coffee - all fresh and tasty and similar to the standard in many other places. The place didn't have much atmosphere and the service - the staff are so busy that not... More

We found Café Noir after scouring the streets for somewhere decent to eat. Having walked past once, not sure whether it would be OK, we returned upon the recommendation of someone we spoke to. Do not be put off by the name. This is a great place to eat. Our waitress was delightful – really friendly and efficient. We ate... More

Cafe Noir is famous in Tel Aviv for its assortment of schnitzels and mashed potatoes. If you come take those. They have other good things too but we usually stick to their specialty. The place has a nice atmosphere and is decently priced for this city. It is also two steps away from Rothschild Blvd. so if you are around... More

Café Noir was so close to my hotel it just made sense to try it rather than eat at the hotel. My first brunch on a Saturday morning was divine. Windowed table, great service, delicious meal. My second visit was for dinner, but I came alone and was put at the punishment table, all the way in the back, in... More

I read all these great reviews and either it was a very bad night for food and service, or the reviewers do not have any idea how really good food can be in Tel Aviv. We split a Pappardelle with Chicken Livers as a starter. It is one of my favorite Italian pasta dishes. It was simply awful. Maybe 4... More

We were recommended here by a friend for the schnitzel. The place was very busy so we ate on the bar. Our waiter was really friendly recommending wines and different starters. I had the mined lamb pittas which were great. The schitzels were great, not incredible but very tasty and a good size. Overall in the 10 days, I have... More

We took a local friend out for dinner and asked her to pick her favorite restaurant. The locale is off the beaten path, the food was delicious and inventive and the service was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant without reservation, although I would recommend a reservation.

A lovely restaurant, not noisy, great wine list and perfect for meeting with old friends. We all had their famed Schnitzel and everyone was happy. Waitress was great and the location is great. Restaurant's ambience is warm and inviting.
