I don't know where the photo with the chandalier came from but it isn't from Pinati. This is a very humble, working man's lunch spot. You don't go to dine. You go to eat and enjoy the flavors but don't plan to linger. There is almost always someone waiting for your table. I always order the Hamutzta Kubbeh soup which... More

Humus, pita , falafel, and all the fixings. The 2 of us had dinner for $20 and we were stuffed! Very friendly, speedy service. You are in good hands. Great location, in the center of town and next door to a wonderful bakery, from which we took out desert. Win-win.

We ate at Pinati twice on a recent visit to Jerusalem. Once for lunch and once for dinner. We were there at off hours both times which was great because there was no wait and we were able to sit down right away. The staff ran around organizing a table for 5 of us on our first visit and were... More

This little restaurant has been around forever, over 30yrs at least. It's not beautiful but the cooking is excellent Middle East cuisine, and truly the best falafel balls and humus ever. Oftentimes there isn't room to sit, but you can scrunch into someone else's table or take a pita crammed with falafel, humus and broad beans, pickles and fries. So... More

It has all the basic Israeli grill presentations, one of the best hummus offerings in Israel and the best Hamusta (Lemon Kubeh Soup) soups in Israel. The prices are great and the service is outstanding. You'll really feel at home here.

The most authentic food in Jerusalem! Small corner restaurant with shared tables and the best hummus around. Also try the moussaka and schnitzel. So cheap yet so delicious.

No one is a stranger. People sit in available chairs, no matter who else is at the table. Service is fast and frenzied. The food is great. You can go back years later, and the host will remember who you are, what you ate, who you were with, and where you sat. Have a great time.
