Great Place!

This is a must place to eat if you are in the Machane Yehuda Market! Great selection of pastas (fresh!) and sauces which taste delicious! They also have soups which are out of this world! To top it off, the value can't be beat. A pasta dish is as low as 19 shekel, and the soups are 15 shekel... read more

I see the place all the time since I work nearby, but it's always very crowded so I didn't get the chance to order there. Once I had, I understood that it was nothing to wait for. The place indeed looks very hip, but it's always fully packed and you have to look for a place to sit (or stand)... More

It's a simple place but I'm never disappointed with my meal at Pasta Basta either in the Shuk in Jerusalem or in Shuk HaCarmel in Tel Aviv. It's a nice atmosphere in the Jerusalem location and it's not expensive to add beer or wine (or dessert!) to your meal. The chocolate mousse is excellent. My favorite pasta sauce is the... More

There is no place to sit. Once you ordered your food, good luck with finding a place sit. Accept this, awsome place.

A very young and trendy Italian fast food joint. Very affordable and great value for money patstas . Great atmosphere and vibe. Also serve great beer and recommended deserts. Very recommended for lunch though quite busy and noisy.

If you visit Jerusalem, "Mahane Yehuda" market is a must place to see and perhaps to make some shopping. "Pasta Basta" located in the heart of the market. Here you can take a rest, combine by yourself a dish with the fresh pasta and take some wine or coffee. You still at the market, you have the same typical view,... More

I came across this restaurant while wandering around Machane Yehuda recently. There was quite a crowd, and it wasn't meal time for me, so I made a mental note to return. I'm glad I did. Yes, it's a little chaotic, but don't be intimidated. They have menus in English and everyone speaks English. So step right up and order a... More

A build-your-own-pasta 'nice fast food' restaurant is such a brilliant idea I can't imagine why there aren't places like this the world over. Pasta Basta offers super-fast service for lovely fresh pasta dishes with infinite customisations possible! A little on the pricey side but delicious and great for a quick tasty meal.
