We were going to the Palace restaurant at the Waldor Astoria with Haredi family, only to learn that the restaurant lacked a "teudah" (official certification of kashrut). So, my brother in law was on the phone to Entrecote, and satisfied with their certification we were off in a taxi. About twenty minutes later, we pulled into the restaurant to see... More

We went there because my nephew is orthodox and he can eat there. We had 8 people when we went. The waiter rushed over to us and said "I've worked here for many years and I know what you need." We tried to explain what we wanted and he kept saying "I know, I know what you need." He wound... More

Every single dish I bough from there was absolutely superb (slow cooked meat, chicken in onion jam, potatoes, yams, Nile Perch fish, and meat balls in peas and anis sauce, plus two salads - fried eggplants, and chopped liver). The owner was also super sweet and offered me a discount as it was getting further in the day and Shabbat... More

The restaurant is noisy and ugly. Service is bad. And they don't speak english. The food however is good, if you get what you want.

In short, Food was nothing special - at best. Steak was not hot and overly smokey. Chocolate soufflé came with passion fruit sorbet instead of vanilla ice cream (no kiddin') and atmosphere is as old fashioned as the decor on the dessert plate. Price is also above and beyond reasonable.. Do yourself a favor and don't make the mistake I... More

This restaurant is regional meat typical Israeli food, many type of salads in small dishes. Nothing really special with the food, not bad but not worth the money. I've been there several times and once I check the bill I realise they charge my credit card other table bill and they didn't cancel or credit it, they offer me to... More
