The premise of this restaurant is to present food from the Israeli tradition in an updated and non-kosher style. We went for the tasting menu and sat at the bar. The restaurant decor is casual, service friendly but very casual and the music is loud and Israeli. Favorite dishes included calamari with hummus, beef carpaccio, polenta with truffle and mushrooms... More

Visiting Israel from the U.S. This restaurant recommended by my son. Took my party of 4 there, opened the door, and blasted by extremely loud amplified music. Seated and after a few minutes of that extremely high level of music, got up with my party and walked to the front door. Ready to leave, but told by the hostess that... More

Quite interesting and delicious. Presentation of all courses and dishes was extraordinary. Wait staff was fantastic - friendly, patient, explained menu, and attentive. This was a real treat and is highly recommended.

Sat at the bar as a single party. While the place may be expensive, each of the dishes on the tasting menu was at worst very good, often great, and sometimes phenomenal. The service at the bar was fantastic as well. The bar was also tended by two highly energetic young women. This place would be valued for its outstanding... More

If you're looking for great food combined with an up tempo atmosphere, Machneyuda is your place. Just be prepared for loud music (they turned down the volume at our request); but we're old folks and the young appeared oblivious. Very lively!

I have been to many market places all over Europe but this is the most different and exciting market one can experience, the hawkers are mixed ethnic groups all shouting out their wares. They have been here for decades and know their products. From cheeses from all over the world to spices to housewares and the variety of fruit and... More

My favorite restaurant in Jerusalem. Great food, in a market atmosphere. Don’t let the party fool you – this is a serious kitchen, led by a group of very talented people. If you can handle tons of food – try the tasting menu.

First, the overpriced food. Second, the rude and pushy staff. Third, the loud music. On a good note, some dishes were good, but still doesn't justify the price that they charge. Asaf Granit ... You made me not want to come back, your restaurant is noisy and obnoxious.
