I ate here on my first night of visiting Jerusalem, solely on the suggestion of top pick by Lonely planet guide and sadly it does not deserve such a billing. Do not get me wrong this is a pleasant enough place to eat and a step up in class from the surrounding places to eat with their plastic tables. Though... More

Though it wasn't very easy to communicate on the phone from England they gave me their email address (Emilios Bajjali <emilbajjali@gmail.com>), and from then on it was very simple. They put on a good spread at a good price - it was standard fare, but done well.

This restaurant was recommended to us so we were all excited to go. We showed up at 9 pm. The waiter rushed us to order because the cook wanted to go home at 9,30 pm (!). We ordered starters and the main course - and we got everything served at once which we found very weird. At 9,15 pm the... More

Nicely spiced, good quality salads, easy to find, recommend for eating in the Old City. Recommended.

Stumbled across this place and couldn't have been rode welcomed by the owner. He took time to explain the menu to us and also told us about the beers on offer (would recommend a taybeh beer). The food was good, fresh and homemade. Service was very good and prices are reasonable. It's worth hunting this place out for a stop... More

After passing this restaurant two days in a row, my friend and I finally decided to stop and try it. My friend has been to Jerusalem many times and said she had heard it was good, and we were not disappointed. I was craving spicy food and the restaurant had many good options to please just about any taste. Our... More

After 4 hours of walking under the scorching sun, we were happy to rest in this restaurant. We were kind of disappointed. Food was average and although we were only few customers, the food did not arrive as quickly as hoped.

We stumbled across this little restaurant whilst exploring the markets around the Christian Quarter. With its Gothic arches and exposed ancient stone walls the place had oodles of ambiance and character. The venue is not far from the Station VIII up along Via Dolorosa. We had delicious musakhan (spiced chicken and onions) and qidreh (lamb with rice and chickpeas) washed... More

We were starving and stumble upon this place. Were not expecting much, but turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Service was very good. We ordered the plate that had a whole variety of appetizers. Food was excellent and enough to satisfy us. I'd recommend it.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. Peaceful and delicious. Perfect for a rest while visiting the old city. I make a point to not only go there myself when I'm in town, but also to bring visiting guests and they love it every time. I highly recommend it! Everything we've had here has been very very good, of good... More
