we heard about this place from friends and were told in advance that its pricier then some other local places. we had a great time besides that they have the highest kosher standards, the place is a cool new industrial chic design with a friendly accommodating staff. I had a large 16 oz aged boneless ribeye - medium rare and... More

We went to the Red Heifer for a birthday celebration with family. (just four of us). We were extremely skittish because the last time we went to their "new" location it was absolutely terrible. We only ordered hamburgers last time and the fries and homemade onion rings were greasy blobs. We were definitely impressed this time around, however. Our server... More

A restaurant that charges the prices that this one does needs to be special to justify the customer outlay. This restaurant does not. The service was excellent, but not any better than many other reasonably priced restaurants we had eaten at in Israel. The decor was pleasant, but nothing to "write home about". The food was OK, but again nothing... More

Mediocre food and service coupled with very high prices make this restaurant one I will not return to. They are fortunate to have a captive audience in the nearby hotel crowd.

We were guests of the King David hotel, located very close to the Red Heifer and we were thrilled to go for a pleasant walk to the restaurant and not have to deal with unpleasant car rides and traffic. With pleasant staff, great ambiance and a varied menu, the Red Heifer made our party wanting to come back for more.... More

We brought a family of 5 here, walking by near our hotel. Four of us had decent meals, but one of us ordered a hamburger. Ordered Medium Rare. Brought Well Done (server agreed). Waited forever and next was absolutely inedibly rare (server also agreed). Finally ordered something else after everyone else was done eating. For a steak house, this is... More

The restaurant is in a new location, a little hard to find tucked away almost opposite King David Hotel. The steaks were good and so was the mushrooms salad and soup for the vegetarians among us. The prices are very steep and they charge for every extra, even for the side dish accompanying the main course!
