Lovely ambience and atmosphere, delightful building, full on a Monday evening. And yet: Pleasant, attentive, cheerful staff/servers... And most importantly excellent food and wines. My wife and I had the Chef's special dinner with recommended matching wines. Six courses pleasingly presented and explained, the servers offered and eight in all we got.... More

Mona is a nice hidden place in Jerusalem. The entrance is welcoming you with a very romantic little garden, also with seats and tables. My friends and I decided to dine inside. The service was quiet good and attentive. We started with a cocktails which I can highly recommend. But mainly the Mona is a restaurant. I would describe the... More

If you are looking for a quiet spot for a romantic dinner, then Mona is your restaurant of choice. The menu was interesting; fusing authentic flavors and traditional recipes. The service was attentive however not overly friendly. We dined fairly early around 7:30pm, nonetheless, it picked later in the evening. That said, our dinner was undisturbed with out a lot... More

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening at this restaurant. The entrees were tasty and we all enjoyed our main courses. I ordered the pasta (asked for a vegetarian version) and in contrast to one of the earlier reviews - actually liked the poached egg on top. Deserts were wonderful! Staff very helpful and inviting. All in all a... More

Just wonderful: Wide variety of tasteful dishes, from starters through main dishes to stimulating desserts. Nice and quiet atmosphere at an old building at the center of Jerusalem. Most attentive and caring staff.

I went here with a small group of executives I work with, and my wife, and was really looking forward to eating here based on the great reviews. The building and decor is amazing. The waiter offered a special entrecôte of beef that was so large I could split it with my wife. We ordered it rare. The beef was... More

Mona hits all the right notes for foodies. It's a pretty room in an interesting building, and offers an eclectic menu. Even items seen on other Israeli menus (like chicken livers in date honey) are prepared with an inventive twist, and everything was beautifully presented. The wine list was good, with a focus on some fine Israeli wines. Service was... More

Always a treat to go to Mona. Great tastes in everything they prepare. Fine atmosphere, attentive service. Not cheap in Israeli standards, but worth the occasional splurge. When my daughter complained that her ribeye steak was more well-done than the medium she ordered, they brought her a filet on the house! That is to say, pleasing the customer was of... More

The restaurant is located in a beautiful building, in the Bezalel Academy, in the center of Jerusalem. Decor in very good taste. We were 9 people, including 3 Small children. The service was wonderful with full attention to the children. The starters were excellent and diverse, including fantastic Calamari, liver terrine, salads, and many others. As main dishes, we had... There are a lot of good restaurants in ISRAEL. I've been to many of them. But Mona is something different. The overall experience is fantastic. Ellegant and yet not too fancy. The food is excellent. The team is passionate. What else do you want. A place to come back again and again.
