Charming...

....staff, food and location. Good vegetarian home style cooking in a friendly atmosphere. Park under and walk up in the lovely paths. If you get a bit lost it's still pretty all around.

Slightly off the beaten track in Jerusalem, Te'enim is a terrific option for lunch with a stunning view of the walled city. Every dish seems tasty, but if you're looking for some hints, try the Maharaja Mahadarra (lentils and wheat served with red onions and ginger, chutney, raisins and cucumber), Skewered Tofu, or the Balkan Bake (Spanakopita). If you have... More

In close proximity to the historic King David Hotel, this gem of a vegetarian restaurant does not disappoint. Perched on a hill overlooking the walls of the Old City, the views are spectacular. But the best part is the food. The varied and diverse menu is innovative and will appeal to a variety of tastes. My wife and I dined... More

I always make a point to visit this cozy, out-of the-way gem. Though I'm not a vegetarian, the thick breads, fresh salads and cheeses are quite satisfying. If you're in the mood for coffee, their brew is excellent, though I have dropped by, later in the day for a cold beer. And what a great place to meet for a... More

Delicious food. Beautiful location. Off the beaten track. We love there Sabich and skeward tofu dishes and yum apple cider.

Pretty setting but food very basic. It was a completely empty restaurant when we walked in. We were seated next to the service counter and cash register. No creativity in presentation, no bread or rolls served before the meal. Just a simple meal your grandmother might have made for you if you came over unexpectedly.

We were about 20 people celebrating an upcoming event. The owner of the restaurant couldn't have been nicer. The food was so delicious. Dish after dish came out and we all were attacking them like hungry wolves. LOL. If I had one complaint; there was just too much food. Vered (Rose), thank you for making this one of the best... Interesting cuisine, although vegetarian. I took polenta on black beans - great dish. My companions also liked their orders. We were 16 people, so we have ordered the private room. Atmosphere: big old stone house, thick walls and heavy wood furniture; and above all, the view of old-city wall, Tower of David just in front. Close parking place unless it... More

Incredibly fresh vegetarian food. Fun and creative takes on vegetarian food, using the freshest local vegetables. Gorgeous, airy location with a view of the Old City.

We wanted an intimate place to celebrate a family brunch/luncheon (for about 25 people)....Te'Enim could not have been more perfect! The food, the staff and the setting with views of Jerusalem was wonderful. I am not a vegetarian, but the food was so good and presentation so nice that I never knew what I was missing. I highly recommend this... More
