Great vegetarian fare

We did get a bit falafelled out on our visit to Jersulem so visited this super vegetarian restaurant twice. Delightful service and excellent food from the French chef. It's tucked away so do try and seek it out. Window seats provide a breathtaking view of the walls of the Old City. We loved it.

This is a great vegetarian restaurant that suits also vegans and that even meat lovers will enjoy (although there is no meat). First of all the place is beautiful with stunning views to the old city but if you add great food with a good variety and warm and welcoming service, you get an unbeatable combination. Do not skip it... More

Tucked out of the way in Confederation House (50 meters or so off the street down a foot path) this was a great vegetarian find. The food was fresh and tasty and the service couldn’t have been better.

No sooner did we arrive in Jerusalem after a long flight from NYC and the longest ride on Nesher, did we find ourselves walking over to Te'enim for some wonderful vegetarian comfort food. The food was well prepared and just what the doctor ordered for our very first evening in Jerusalem. And the view of the walls of the Old... More

If you are looking for a restaurant with charm, that has a view of the Old City and that offers terrific food, check out Te'anim, one of Jerusalem's longest-established vegetarian restaurants. Located in the Confederation House in the Yemin Moshe neighborhood, Te'enim is a treat for the eyes and the belly. Try the Maharaja Majadarra (lentils & wheat served with... More

You have to look for this restaurant, because it is difficult to get to it by chance. It has a very nice view on Jerusalem wall, although only three tables are close to the windows. The menu is vegetarian. We choose their breakfast, and my wife and I shared its various options. We found the food quite good and interesting,... More

I had the grilled tofu which was full of fresh flavours. The mushroom and seaweed pie was a bold and interesting choice that we liked but some may find odd. A lovely take on the middle Eastern classic majadra can be found here. Can recommend the Leffe blond beer and the tamarind drink is refreshing without being too sweet. Nice... More

I thought the food was only fair and it was really expensive for a plate of rice and vegetables. We were a party of four and everyone's food came 15 minutes before mine. It was awkward. No one wanted to start eating before I had my food but their food was getting cold. When my food finally came it wasn't... More

This restaurant is not easy to find. It's in the historic Confederation House in the beautiful landscaped area across from the Old City walls at the end of Emile Botta Street. Once you've found it, you are in for a treat. Unlike much of the pasta-heavy vegetarian food on offer in Jerusalem, this presents a colorful medley of interesting grain... More

Great restaurant for vegans and vegetarians. The tofu skewers with satay sauce were so tasty. I did not try my husbands stuffed peppers, because they had cheese in them, but he enjoyed. The salad we shared was very tasty and the sangria was delicious. We had a table by the open "window" which gave us a lovely view of the... More
