Three of us shared the appetizer with bread and six dips, and most were pretty good. It was nice to share with a group. I had the chicken stuffed with nuts and with a slightly sweet sauce, and it was EXCELLENT. My friend had the hamburger (without a bun and stuffed with something else), and he loved it too. My... Just ate there with my wife and son. Had the most amazing meal. Lamb brains (really!) was delicious. I had a burger filled with goose liver; it was the best burger I ever had. My son had the filet mignon; It was equally delicious ( I tasted it). My wife had the chicken which was also moist and delicious. Deserts... More

Whenever my family visits Jerusalem we go to Hachatzer. It is by far the best kosher food in Jerusalem that isn't over priced.

This evening I went to Hachatzer in a group of four people. From when we first walked in the restaurant was impressive; nice decor and a friendly staff. Our group decided to go the adventurous route and try the tasting menu. The tasting menu is a 3-4 course, 12 dish meal including several fishes, meats, and some chicken (190 Nis... More

My family of 5 enjoyed an excellent meal (one daughter did not love sirloin). Most of us had fish. Great service. Kosher.

Food is carefully prepared, skilfully spiced and attractively presented. Living proof that Kosher Food can be exceedingly tasty. Quoting "Le Guide Michelin" it is "Worth a Detour..."

this is where we take our out-of-town guests -- just amazing food, esp the meats. if you get the tasters' menu, they bring out a gazillion salads too. just know you're going to stuff yourself here. One mistake in the listing: It's not in the Givat Ram neighborhood at all -- it's in Baka or German Colony.

We came here our last night. I love that it is a bit out of the way which also means plenty of parking. We started out with the chorizo appetizer and the chopped liver which were both fabulous. For the main course I had the gnocchi, my husband had the duck. Everything was really delicious. For dessert we had the halva... More

We had a fantastic meal here. We did the tasting menu, the food kept coming and it was delicious and different. We will definitely return on our next trip.

This restaurant has had more names than I've had hot dinners (well almost). It was first known as 'Etzel Pini Bachatzer' (literally 'Pini's place in the yard). Then it shortened it to 'Pini Bachatzer'. Then I reckon Pini must have parted company, because they again shortened it to 'Hachatzer'. In any event, while the name might have morphed a bit,... More
