By world-class standards that isn't saying much but the food was well conceived and prepared, the service was quite friendly and professional and the surroundings attractive. Certainly worth the 15-minute downhill walk from the King David Hotel

I have been to many restaurants before and I can honestly say this is the best I have ever been too. The food was just simply excellent. 5* standard. I ate with my parents who have travelled well and eaten many places and they agreed. The service was extremely efficient and polite.

We had dinner here last night. I had an asian glazed salmon dish and Karen had an entrecôte steak . Both dishes were quiet yummy. Portions were large. Service was excellent. Easy, nearby free parking. One of the best in Jerusalem.

I've gone to the restaurant close to a dozen times over the past couple of years, and every time I walk away more than satisfied. My wife and I nearly always order the tasters menu, and quite honestly it blows us away every time. The array (we counted 17 different items served to us!), the quality, the taste, and the... More

We chose Hachatzer for our last dinner in Jerusalem. We anticipated a good kosher meat meal. The sirloin steak, a cut you can't get kosher in the US, was outstanding. I tasted my nephew's steak. Although this is a meat restaurant, the fish was about the best we had during our trip. I tasted my wife's fish. And the eggplant... More

I went here in March 2014 with my family and family friends. We got the tasting menu and it was incredible. We had salads, appetizers, meats, and desserts. The wine pairings were excellent. I ate so much that I felt so sick afterwards, but the food was so good I just couldn't stop. Don't fill up on the bread they... More

Its pretty good value (4) and high quality (4). Waitress was friendly but didn't speak much English, referring back to the hebrew menu a few times. The goose liver hamburger (NIS 86) was well balanced but for the measly portion of goose liver in the patty. The fig puree accompaniment was excellent The standout was the crispy gnocchi with goose... More

Better than all the high end restaurants in town (eg Touro, La Regence , the latter having gone downhill over the past few years) and better value. Excellent all-rounder.

Excellent service, great food. New menu with some interesting combinations - all very very tasty. Ample portions, even the hour de oeuvres was worth the effort and definitely worth the price. ILS344 for two for only two courses is not cheap but WOW! enjoyable and worth the price. Don't miss it.

Waitstaff helpful and attentive. Food tasty and well priced. Atmosphere cozy and intimate. What more could you want? The only complaint, which is minor, is this place is hard to find if you don't already know where it is (or speak Hebrew). The development is tucked way back off the street in sort of an industrial area accessed only by... More
