We enjoyed our meal. Food was top notch but it was somewhat slow in coming. We were with a small group. The bread was warm and very good as were the accompaniments, the goose liver was cooked perfectly. However my lamb shank was pretty dry and was screaming for a sauce to go with it. I ordered a vodka on... More

We were suggested to sit in armchairs by a low table, which did not seem either comfortable nor romantic for us. We were celebrating an anniversary and had told this when we booked. So we instead sat by a small cafe table (I dont think there was even a flower at the table). The wait staff were helpful, very nice... More

Great food, service second to none, best restaurant visited in Israel. Well worth a walk or cab ride to get to it.

Right after we were set at the table, we knew we decided on the best possible choice in Jerusalem. Being here in December everything was calm and running in nice atmosphere. The service was friendly and professional as well. Food was made out of fine ingredients and wine was absolutely stunning. I can only recommend and definitely will visit this... More

I was on holiday with my family and we decided to celebrate my birthday in a fancy restaurant. We looked up on tripadviser for recommendations, and came across the Scala reviews. The praises were not misleading! We entered the Scala and were led by a delightful hostess into a spacious, classy restaurant. We felt welcomed beyond belief when a lovely... More

This magnificent continental restaurant, fully kosher, is located in the David Citadel Hotel and provided me with one of the best dinners I have ever had in Israel. The entire dinner from appetizer through entrée and dessert was A Plus.

Blown away by our meal at Scala. The ambiance is modern and lovely, the service top notch, and the food is absolutely delicious. The menu is creative and extensive - and don't skip dessert! Attempted to sit at the bar and order off the bar menu which was a bit of a challenge, but after a bit of back and... More

We arranged a table here from the UK, mainly on the strength of TA reviews. We wanted somewhere Kosher, and a bit special for a reunion dinner. The food was good, although I didn't really felt it compared well with top end restaurants in the UK. However, this styles itself as the best gourmet restaurant in Jerusalem, and is the... More

This is a restaurant for special occasions, its expensive, but well worth it. Dont be put off by it being located in a hotel. Once you enter the restaurant on the second floor of the restaurant, it is as if you have entered a completely different place. The restaurant is stylish designed with a feeling of space and privacy for... More
