The restaurant is in the courtyard of the Jerusalem Hotel, not far from the bus station near Damascus Gate. The setting is very pretty with grape wines and jasmine growing over the gazebo. It's sheltered from wind and quite warm of an evening. The menu has different salad, fish and meat options and there is a choice of soft drinks... More

Food, service, atmosphere, quality ... all highly recommendable. If, however, you come on a night (probably mostly Fridays and Saturdays - inquire!) when there is Live music and you want to talk with your company at the table rather than focus on the music, you might want to choose another night or place. The music is good, but loud and... More

We ate here on a Friday night in a group of 11 at 6.30pm. The restaurant was quiet and fully staffed, but the service was awful. Warm coke, no ice; ages to wait for food while the chef smoked in the toilets; we know that goes on, but does it have to be in front of the punters. Come on.... More

This place can be overlooked, and that is a shame. It is a good place to sit in a grape covered court yard and have a nice glass of wine and a good meal. The prices are very good and the staff is attentive and make great suggestions for your dining experience. It is a fun place, with a staff... More

I have been at the outdoor restaurant of this hotel a few times. I will recommend this cosy restaurant for the atmosphere, the diversity of people with different backgrounds visiting the restaurant. However, the service you get here is not really good, service is rather fast, even when the restaurant is busy, however, you do not get much advise, help... More

I have been to this place many times over the past years- and will definitey go there again. Great service, great food. And the beer is nice and cold. Plus - you get to meet a lot of interesting people - both Palestinians and foreigners (the latter - mostly form the Donor community).

We were staying in East Jerusalem so we tried this restaurant. The setting is very pleasant but the food is truly mediocre. I tried their signature chicken dish, which is supposed to be stuffed with mushrooms. The dish consisted of two large chicken breasts stuffed with nearly raw vegetables with nary a taste of mushrooms under a totally tasteless sauce.... More

We enjoyed more than one meal at the restaurant, but were particulary entertained by the Friday evening meal followed by music on oud, dumbock and voice.

we canced upon this hotel just next to the bus station on Nabulus Road and stopped for a local Taybeh beer - which was very good,.The bar itself is a little oasis - fill of plants and waterfalls and the beer is cold - great for a break from sightseeing - it is about 2 minutes from the Damascus gate.
